Hi all,
Back in May I placed 4 bubba kush clones in the ground in an area closely surrounded by numerous native plants and grasses. Shortly thereafter we had a ton of rain, and insects had damaged plants so severely I had pretty much given up on that location. To my pleasant surprise last week, I found they had not only survived but also are out-performing the native weeds.
Unfortunately, in their efforts to get sunlight they also stretched to high heaven. These plants are almost 5 feet tall and have maybe 3 -4 true nodes each. They are in full sun, 8-10 hours daily. Unfortunately, pics would require an extra trip to a remote area full of horseflies...so my next excursion will be with a pair of poultry shears(work great for pruning).
I need to keep these plants at a reasonable height, no more than 6'. They will begin flowering in several weeks and finish by 2nd week of Oct at the latest. I keep wanting to take the entire top foot off of these 4 plants, but if I do so there won't be a whole lot remaining as 75% of bud sites are on the top foot of each lady.
What should I do?.
TY in advance for any assistance.
