    F strips or HLG QB132?

I'm torn between doing a build with samsung F strips and the HLG QB132. At first I thought it would be cheaper to go with F strips, but the heatsinks are making that not the case. I'd get 48 more diodes with the F strip build but the QB v2 have the newer chips... Seems like it makes more sense...

    10,000 budget

Hi Everyone. A close friend of mine approached me last September and asked me to help him setup his own grow. At the time he didn't have the resources to put anything together better than a couple florescent fixtures. So we set up a very bare bones op. Earlier this week he asked me to help him...

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

Hey everyone, Arrow is doing a 10% their site right now so I am pulling the trigger on 6 x bridgelux gen 2 strips that I want to run @ 100%. Ledgardener has a driver calculator and it recommends the HLG-480-48 but the calculator uses gen 1 strips. Is there a better driver for my selection? Also...

    Seeking help/input building a new led-strip lamp

I have previously been growing in a tent with a floor area of 1 m² under 8 x cxb 3590´s and 2x HLG-240H-C1750B drivers with potentiometers disconnected for max wattage and light levels. I´m now thinking of buying a smaller flowering tent, measuring 125 x 65 x 120 cm. I have been looking at...

LED strips too much for seedlings?

Searched the internet and didn't find anything specifically on this. I know they are powerful lights and usually you just use a T5 at the start, but would it be possible to dim them and hang them higher at the start or is it still too much?

    Finally got some good Sammies!

Well, I just received six of the Samsung F series strips, 22" single row: Also picked up a Meanwell LRS-150-24 to power them - total cost for strips and power supply was $105 with free overnight shipping from Arrow. I've also got some .601 profile heatsink from heatsink USA on its way. This...

Time to start a new strain...

Well, my last few plants have been Plushberry clones, and my current plant in Veg is a Harley Tsu clone I got from the dispensary a month or so back. I took a cutting from the Plushberry that's in flower now, but it didn't make it - damn spider mites... Anyway, I'm not going to try...

Samsung LM561C strips. Please help with power supply

Hello everybody! Lately, I've been reading a lot about quantum boards and analogs built on Samsung LM561C leds. Start up costs are a major barrier to me. So, I've decided to give it a try by building a light fixture for my microgrow using led strips. I've bought 5 meters of Samusng lm561c...

    LED strip build

Would it be possible to use something like these 5050 5 meter LED strips in a 2x2 cabinet ? I was able to find them on DhGate for only like $1.15 for 5 meter strips. My idea was to mount the strips all along the walls and ceiling of the grow cabinet to provide excellent light penetration but I'm...
