for safety reasons
Kids don't die because someone didn't have to flick a safety, that's a preposterous statement of hyperbole and cannot be qualified with any real evidence. If anything, safeties lead to a reliance on them instead of due diligence on the part of the user. In other words, responsibility, a word you loathe with every ounce of your being.

Want safety? Follow these rules at all times.

1. Always Keep The Muzzle Pointed In A Safe Direction
2. Firearms Should Be Unloaded When Not Actually In Use
3. Don't Rely On Your Gun's "Safety"
4. Be Sure Of Your Target And What's Beyond It
5. Use Correct Ammunition
6. If Your Gun Fails To Fire When The Trigger Is Pulled, Handle With Care!
7. Always Wear Eye And Ear Protection When Shooting
8. Be Sure The Barrel Is Clear Of Obstructions Before Shooting
9. Don't Alter Or Modify Your Gun, And Have Guns Serviced Regularly
10. Learn The Mechanical And Handling Characteristics Of The Firearm You Are Using

Have a nice day. :finger:

I prefer double action pistols myself when I carry. Too many single action pistols have very crisp triggers that only take about 4-6 pounds of pressure to drop the pin. They have safeties, but once the safety is off they tend to be too easy to inadvertently pull. Unless pre-cocked, a double action pistol has a pretty hefty trigger pull 12-15 lbs, and a very long pull to get the gun to fire on the first shot. Much more difficult to accidentally pull that heavy of a trigger all the way through its travel than the slightest bump the single action with the safety needs.

The police, by a supermassive majority, use pistols with no external safeties to "flick" on and off.

btw that flick statement is just another example of pure ignorance. There are no safeties you just "flick" on or off on a pistol, you have to manipulate them much harder than that. In many instances the safety takes as much as 10-14 lbs of force to operate. If you are able to flick a safety on and off with that much ease, you probably need to take it to a gunsmith to have it looked at.

how many kids between ages two and five do you suppose have killed themselves or someone else this year in unintentional discharges using guns without a safety?

I don't know, but it's clearly an adult issue. That's the point.
It's not the gun or the kid.

Where is what information? The information that broken glass can blind someone? Or the post where I said I didn't know the extent of his injury? Page three is my post. If broken glass can send someone to a hospital, surely it can damage an eye. Or is that beyond your ability to understand?
You claimed your post contained information. It didn't. Just "coulda, shoulda, woulda", and "I didn't know". There is no information in that. Repeating the same shit doesn't answer the question "Where is the information?"

Please post this evidence you have of at least 12 children aged 2-5 that either killed themselves or others with guns that did not have safeties.

You are impotent.

no, you have to post 12. You made a claim of at least a dozen.
