Sam, you are fooling yourself if you think the feds have backed off of their cannabis boner. I posted a link yesterday where the feds busted 130 MJ outfits in Socal a couple days ago. I think the war on cannabis is on its last leg but it ain't over yet.

I thought quoting the 10th was supposed to be reserved solely to TEA baggers and racists. I am sure Buck will be along shortly with his George Wallace cartoon collection to smear you with insinuations of racism.

Only berating I've seen is towards UB and its not for growing or smoking per se, its for his stance on taxes while not paying any on his "treadmill" sales while claiming he does not have to.

I live in a state with fairly tough laws in regards to pot(Texas).

He would berate me if I said "everyone needs to pay moar taxes" while not paying any.

wierd i only see you post about politcal shit, that has little or nothign to do with stopping the drug war . . think you may not know why you are here as i dont see those threads, and on the various sites im on i see lots of politically motivated MJ articles and current news . . . never seen you post much on it other then to bash UB for doing what every american does . .abuse the tax code . . .

Exactly!

I find hypocrites distasteful, especially mouthy, self-righteous hypocrites. There aren't many of those on RIU, you typically find them in political life: Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Graham, etc.

Without admitting anything, I will just say that I am as human as the next guy.

What I do not do is jump down my neighbor's throat for not tending his roses when my own roses are a disaster. I do not tell RIU members that they should feel honored/obligated to pay into a tax system so that dikey loser, Sandra Fluke, can get free birth control pills, and then brag about rolling in dough and paying no taxes. In other words, I am not a shrill, finger pointing hypocrite.

I think the country has turned the corner on cannabis if polls are to be believed. The drug warriors are not going to relinquish all those yummy tax payer dollars without breaking a few skulls though.

The drug war has literally destroyed America in terms of being a law abiding nation:
1. It has completely undermined the fourth amendment.
2. it has turned our police into gangs of armed robbers, and highway men in pursuit of "forfeited" property.
3. instead of being the "land of the free" it has made America into the Earth's prison bureaucracy.
4. without the drug war, I think the patriot act and the total surveillance state would have been inconceivable.

I could go on, but I won't.
