I have up to now grown in soil, but am slowly turning my attention to Hydro, after seeing a friends very simple set up which yielded great results.........Although I have no idea what this method is called !

It comprised of 2 x 30 lt stacker boxes one holding 20 lts of water / water pump and nutes - box on top with drainage holes, a hose arrangement was passed through into it and the nutes passed over clay balls, dripping steadily for 24 hours a day.

The plant was low stress trained, and vitalinc veg and and bloom fed in accordance with the instructions...ph level kept at their optimum levels, and liquid silicon fed throughout the grow.

Temperatures regulated with a thermostatic timer plug.

Grow done in a 2m x1.2 x 1.2 grow tent with a 600w duel spectrum bulb and heat shield............ 1 plant - yielded 13 oz dried - to me that's dam good going for a set up that cost less than 50 dabs to set up.

I am thinking of giving this a go for sure - just wondered if any one had anything to add or suggest

So it's a drip system in hydroton.

You should consider taking a look into ebb & flows.
They are pretty simple, and its easy to make a DIY tray and stand.
