epsom salts wont help. thats for treating magnesium(Mg) not Manganese(Mn).

to treat manganese (Mn) you will need to use a micro-nutrient product like calmag, canna trace mix.

hope this helps

i was thinking about cal-mag too but i doubt my local shop got it. anyway cal-mag got Mg and Mn so prolly a better solution (my canna terra nutes dont show any of these ingerdients)

Almost certainly not manganese. The commercial formulae all have it. I have never seen a confirmed case on these boards. I suspect that this is a cal/mag problem and possibly either a lockout or pH issue. cn

i precise this shit happens on upper young leaves, and i nearly didnt feed my plants, just used some canna terra vega / rhizo / enzymes after changing containers (lower leaves were showing N defficiency)

ok thanks cn i never checked my PH though, thought it wouldnt be a problem in soil as i dont over feed at all. let's go for cal-mag tomorrow.

You might not need cal-mag. At what ppm or EC are you feeding? I find younger plants do nicely in my soilless grows at ~500 ppm or 0.7 EC, compounded in water with a base ppm of 50. I've used a similar approach in depleted soil. cn

this time i thought using nearly no nutes would work so i didnt feed except as i said when i changed containers recently. it's my second grow.

on my first grow everything was similar except that i didnt use light mix at start i used plagron royalty mix for all stages and i fed like they said in the canna nutes schedule, and my plants didn't show any problem on leaves.

i have nothing yet to check PH or EC i just use 24 hours old tap water (for chlorine).

very few leaves have the problem but it's growing fast :s

underfeed seems defenetly the problem.

i have used gh flora nova veg and bloom. complete nutrition. has plenty of most everything. i add the cool bloom 0-10-10 in mid bloom as a supplement. but a little epsom wont hurt a thing. they need it to use other nutes. so 1 tsp per gal. obviously, your nutes are low in these ingreidents. i had great success with the flora nova. this run, im back on fox farm, cause i have lots of it. and it too has done me well.

gonna buy something else than the canna terra line as i cant find any cal mag alternative on the online french growshops. i went to few drug stores and the guys didnt even know what espom salt is lol.

i'd like to keep it organic / bio so not sure about the nova flora series... ya know any bio / org COMPLETE (and simple) nutrient series ?

drug stores have it. even regular stores. and its cheap. its used for laxitive, too. lol. and pouring into bath water, or tub, to sooth sprains, pain, etc. the thing i like about the flora nova, is seems to be total nutrician, which means i did not have to worry about any deficiencys that would be enough to cause any probs. shake it very ,very well. made by general hydorponics. it has mg, ca, and all the rest in it. check out the listings.

Grab salt man. It's cheap and works use it at first sign of color 1 teaspoon per gal (dilute in warm water) a few times. Give it 4-7 days and good. La con 8wk clone to flower no yellow there.IMAG0558.jpg That flora nova was like $45 for a tiny bottle how long does it last?

i paid like 27. for a qt. so it last long time. one part for veg, one for bloom. and i add the calmag. not that i think its needed.

General Organics CaMg+ is good if can get it.
I agree. And it might not be a bad idea to get the Epsom Salt too, if you have a deficiency a quick foliar spray might speed up the recovery. It's cheap, like $3.00(US). One bag should last you quite a long time.
Personally, I use Epsom Salt right in my soil mix. I grind a whole bag to dust (a coffee grinder works great) then add 1 cup to every 5 gallons of soil. Mix well. Water. Let sit. Should be good to plant in after a week minimum depending on what else is in your mix.,
