One day i will where im at aint legal yet so that slightly complicates things but i disagree kinda with the kill the weak attitude sometimes to a certain point tho because for example with this mindset g13 wouldnt have got far i agree kill the sexually unstable or sick individuals where you can though and i get the thin the gene pool thing same time if you want to run something over time that lasts worth its name one has to be careful with directions and selections as each round your gonna lose genes and possibilities unless you can and are gonna run thousands of plants every time i know you can preserve and seed increase with lower numbers but ideally you just wouldnt if given the option and also i know id rather have stuff i like than not have it in the end when it comes to keeping stuff around / hoarding id rather have more than i need seed wise personally each to there own that way i guess man

Im not legal place either but I have come to the conclusion that it’s worth the small risk of having higher numbers for three weeks and culling hard for the best plants before I return to ‘safe’ numbers.
Running a whole pack or three packs to get four plants beats running four seeds to get four plants. That’s my experience.
I like to know I’ve looked at them all and picked the ones I like to flower and hit with a little pollen for next time.
Id rather run hundreds if possible than in select tens in the earlier rounds and yeah bud each to there own yes the risks worth it of course as they say different strokes for different folks worst case what i dont grow or get rid of or gift will go to someone oneday anywayYeah each their own.

We are thinking the same.
Thing is if you run 40 or 400 the results are they same.
The best plants are in the 10%
That’s my new golden rule.
I want to run hundreds as well ‘one day’ - that’s why I have switched to turning my 30 seeds into 3000.

Yeah seed increases are rarely a bad thing numbers matter in the end
On a side note on that genealogy the thaitannic was greenhouse thai if anyone remembers that one it is just s1d if my memory serves me right of course yes its a tfd strain originally greenhouse grew out there regs found a good cut then s1d it they no longer offer it tho unfortunately and yeah fdms dthf has some special phenos in it too@HenryTheEighth I was looking at Fleur de Mal seeds site and found this which I found very similar to the Durban Thai X C99 that I grew recently. This is copy and pasted straight from FDMs site:

I remember Franco drooling fanatically over that Thaitannic and Arjan thinking it was more ‘meh’ for some reason.
Last time I bought off greenhouse they still sold Regs!
I got a 5 pack Haze No1 in regs and a five pack Hawaiian Snow in regs.
Got a G13 dom pheno female from the haze 1 that smelt like parsnips and haze (I hated it) but other peeps thought it was dank-af which it kind of was.
The snows produced a great male that smelled of straight up lemongrass. The snow female that got run smelled like black tea and was pretty average but yielded huge.

I really wanted these, SSH seeds, and at first I didnt think I was going to get them.
The original place I ordered 2 packs from had the seeds stolen in the mail. Seeds were sent in a package with a sweatshirt, or some kind of shirt, and when the Vendor got the package, you could tell it had been opened, and when the person opened the package, there were no seeds, only the shirt.
So they got a resend, and it happened again!!!. Id say it was a pretty good $$$ loss as these suckers cost about $150 a pack retail. This was also a new drop. So after I knew this place wasnt going to get them, I went looking for them, and most were out of them, but I did find a place or 2 eventually, and bought 2 packs. SSH can be some really great weed, and it produces huge harvests. These 2 packs came from 2 different vendors. Ive had them probably a month now.
I also bought 3 packs of Crickets and Cicada seeds from last years Puck Drop. I got them cheap from a friend. $150 for all 3 packs!!!!!
I also bought from him some packs of Swami Seeds genetics, and Dominion Seed Company. I gave him $250 for those.

My buddy has a mother plant of SSH from 2010 from Mr Nice genetics. He F2 2 packs, and then went through about 200 females to get the one he wanted to keep. Its a pure cat piss, and floral. Stretches about 4x-5x in flowering. Flowers in 70 days. It is a monster yielder. Structurally one of the best plants Ive ever seen.
Id say these Relic seeds will be even better. Ill give these seeds to my buddy to eventually grow out. Im not really doing anything right now, and my buddy and I have been doing things together since 1981.
But the next thing I want him to do is Grow out 5-6 packs of AKBeanBrains NL5 x Haze, and rebreed them, and go through about 100 females, and find the very best plant. The best stuff Ive seen since the early 70s was a late 80s-early 90s cross of Haze x NL5 x Nevils Hashplant x Skunk 1. I got the seeds in 1991 from a friend, and grew this strain only until 1997, when a partner got busted with 500 clones I gave him. If I had this strain again, my seed buying days would be over.
But if he finds a killer Haze x NL5 female, Id like to breed it to the Crickets and Cicada Skunk x Puck BC2 male.
Weve already run the Local Skunk from several years ago, and we have 2 mother plants of it. One we found in a pack, and another I bought a clone from Strainly. It was said to test at 28%. We also have a mother of the Granny, and Dominion Skunk. All of it is exceptional. But of course total THC isnt an ultimate indicator of buzz quality. But the Dominion stuff is really good. We ran Local, Granny, Dominion Skunk, and I have a bunch of packs of his other gear. Sis Skunk, Munson, Skunkband x Puck/Skunk1.

I did an open pollination of Mr. Nice so although I killed all the clones I have seeds coming out my ears. So I plan to search through them for a really nice keeper. The SSH#3 was a very nice pheno but I'm betting there's better in there I just need a couple more tables to find her.
