One of the earliest forms of hip hop was break dancing. Go back to the streets hip hop was born- there was a bunch of motherfuckers in the middle of the street dancin. But if you mean music is being dumbed down I agree with you 100%

Personally, I can't believe that "you're a jerk" song is real. It's a perfect example of everything I hate about music today.

As for the dance...if you can call it that....I won't talk shit about people who do it, I just know that I personally don't think it looks good.

I love rap, but the music that is coming out of this so called "movement" is trash lol and most of the music that people "jerk" to is aweful....and ive noticed a lot of new rap and hip hop is incredibly more narcissitic(than usual), I mean rap has always been about promoting yourself and what not but some of this new rap is so blatant, many just rap about how much of their bodies is covered in meaningless tattoos, and how many hoes and dudes girlfriends they can fuck, never speaking about real things...you have to really search and stick to real music. a lot of rap is plain garbage these days, it only gets worse, and like many have stated above me..its a dumbing down...gotta stick to real shit, jay-z, jeezy, notorious etc..
