Young plant problem

I ran out of water while trying to transplant two small plants from a solo cup to a 3 gallon container. I only had enough water to transplant one plant. Do I still need to give my plants chlorine free tap water (water sitting at room temp for 24 hours)? Or can i just give them straight ph balanced water from the tap now.

My plants are at 14 days but they have grown three nodes which is why i transplanted. Also once I looked at the root structure for the first transplant it was definitely time to transplant.

At this point don't worry yourself with purified water and all that jazz.

For now, yes, plain ph'd tap water will do. Many use tap water without hurting their plants!

"Cyrus420" thank you, I did not do the second transplant due to fear of hurting them with the chlorine. I will transplant the second without chlorine free water and hopefully it will be fine.

Does it matter if I transplant when I turn the lights on? Or is it better to wait until just before dark cycle? If I wait until the next dark cycle it will be 22 hours before I can transplant. Right now thinking that I should wait just before dark cycle because thats what I did the first time.

If I have to work on my plants I do what I can soon as the light comes on to give my girl plenty of time to chill in the light.

I will transplant as soon as turn on the lights to see if there is a difference between them. Thanks for your help! I will update later in a few days to let you know if I find a difference. Just in case your curious.

There was no difference as far as I could tell. They both responded the same and have been growing at the same rate.
