young plant early signs of sex

This plant is 4 weeks old + 1 week of germination. It has about 16 hours of light a day (when im in).

Is it still too young to determine if these are going to be balls or buds?

mines about the same age and looks the same i wish i could tell what mine is too!

it is gettin about 12/12 anyway, what are the results that people have previously get from 12/12/ from seed like i have

waaaaayto early my friend. look for the double pistils coming from a growth shoot. thats a positive sign for female but its gonna be a weekk or so before you can tell.

okay, thanks for the reply. are they ready for miricle grow yet? also when can i top it?

from pictures i've seen (Im still new at this) there should be two little pistils coming out there if its a female.

seems a little early in your growing to tell anyways.
but keep checking. youll see eventually!

those two little thingies are just leaf shoots. if you havn't topped it (or even reached flowering) you can't tell. you can top it at the 4-5th node.... those two little shoots will become two new growth/leaf shoots... when you change the light to 12/12 THEN it will start to flower THEN you can tell the sex...mine has those little shoots too but it's unsexed....hope its' female, though looked nice n green

oh yeah, do i need a bigger pot yet?

hell i always move my plants into the 5gal pots at the start...so you don't have to later

umm looks like 1gal but can't really tell

a really good mixture is some horse/cow manure mixed w/water into some potting soil...you can add vermiculite, too...your plants will love you

I have heard that female marijuana plants produce many more leaf shoots much earlier than males... has anyone else heard of this? My first plant I started to flower is a beautiful two foot girl. But I have four others about a foot tall I just started flowering. Two of the plants are tall with only three different sets of leaf nodes. The others two are producing many leaf shoots from in between these nodes that look like potential budding sights. If so, I would like to go ahead and toss the two without nothing really going on. Or should I wait for the balls?

Im using vermiculite and cow manure with mine also, almost positive its miracle grow. they seem to like it just fine. Considering this is my first grow, I think they are doing pretty well. Im going to start a thread one of the days to let you guys know lol

Hey, you can do it know if you want.
clean out or buy a 5gal bucket i just put mine in at 3 weeks

once your plant reaches about 6-7 nodes, yu can put it into a 24 hour dark cycle, and then switch the lights to 12/12. it should show sex within a couple of days.
