"Hillary Clinton is turning over to federal authorities the private computer server she used to handle her emails when she served as secretary of state, an unexpected move and an attempt to quash concerns that her unorthodox approach included insufficient safeguards to protect government secrets.

A spokesman for Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign on Tuesday said she had directed her team to give to the Justice Department both the computer server—which had been kept at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y.—and a thumb drive containing copies of her emails.

Mrs. Clinton’s decision to relinquish her computer server is a surprise twist in a controversy that has shadowed her presidential bid. For months she has rebuffed congressional Republican leaders who have called on her to turn over the server to a neutral third party to verify her assertion that she had given the State Department all her work emails. She also has said the server was wiped clean of more than 31,000 emails that involved personal matters such as wedding plans, vacations and yoga routines."



I had to read 3 articles to get to the one that said 'Unexpected Move'... Who the fuck didnt expect this? There was no WAY she was going to avoid having to turn over this to someone.

Pretty sure they seized it .She didnt have a choice in the matter . Obama has yanked his support and green lighted some DOJ action .Stabbed her in the neck .Did her techs clean the machine well enough ? Who knows .

Absolutely you are right. Clinton is a lawyer and not a dumb one. She knew that all the FOIA requests and everything else was going to force some judge to demand her to produce the server.

Maybe you are also correct in Obama fucking her over or at least not stopping the train. There is no love lost between the Obama's and Clinton's, theirs is another marriage of convenience. And Obama needs them a lot less than they need his support right now.

I have been saying for over 6 months she isnt going to be the candidate for president....

I think Obama hit lame duck status early. There is a chance he will have to veto legislation to even get this shitty Iran deal done. Bill Clinton was really smart in that he moved toward the center in his 2nd term and reached across party lines to fix things they could both agree upon. Like him or not he was very strategic in that movement. It seems like Obama is moving in the other direction and seeking to get things done on his own and it is leading to more and more of his isolation.

Hillary cannot run as Obama II so the relationship between her and the President is not going to get closer during the election cycle. She is running as the first woman president and someone who is entitled and I do not believe that is enough to win her the election although it is incredibly hard to predict since there are over 17 candidates on the Republican side and it is impossible to have any solid knowledge of who her opponent will actually be.

She has already been caught in multiple lies depending on what the word 'is' is in the fact that she stated that no classified material was on her hard drive, transmitted in e-mail, etc. when it was classified at a later date. (I am not sure things are classified on the fly in real time and if that even would be possible). So technically in a lawyerly way she is correct but completely dishonest and it likely will not play well with the average American voter who got taken to the woodshed in 3rd grade for pulling the same crap.

Personally at this point I dont care anymore. It is all a shadow dance for our distraction. Government serves itself and not the people and the politicians have sucessfully hidden that fact by creating partisan groups to fight each other on almost every front when the focus should be on how shitty, corrupt and dysfunctional our government has become.

Somewhere along the way here our ignored member may mention my failure at predicting the Obama Re-Election. Something which at the time, I created a separate post pointing out he was right and I was wrong. But, it probably wont come up (in every other post) because the ignored member is a modest and honest person and tries to be the better man... Wait, who the fuck am I kidding... That is why he is the ignored member ;]

Ok the alternative to the obvious Obama's DOJ will come back with a clean bill of health on the server.
Finding it held only a list of charities Bill and she gave money too and plans for BLM compliant social justice department of the future ..
