You know you don't feel safe when.........

Over the last few months, I've had one too many people come up and ask me things like: asking for a dollar, having random guys asking me if I want to buy :joint: (from them).

Today for instance, I had this women ask me for a dollar. She then asked me to go into rite aid to buy her a beer....I come to find out that she is a chronic alcholic....I played stupid and said that I didn't have a dollar (for the beer)....I've seen fights break out while I was walking to the store, so I wasn't that blown away by seeing things like this now though.

I just wonder though, is there any possible way I could avoid those situations without feeling helpless when things like that happen???

I know that in most cases, if I had a car (or a license), I would drive. Since I don't have one, what would you do???

I've been feeling like my world was come crashin' down, days like today are the ones I have difficulty dealing with.

Sorry for the babble guys, just lost :peace:

wait what? do you know these people? are they coming to you when your on the street walking or something?
Nah.....see the problem is the area where the store is.....that's all that ever seems to around there....am I trying to talk bad of them....no, see there us a phrase they use in that area, "Eyes are everywhere.". So with that being said, I am not very talkative with anyone on the street, I just have a tendacy to have alot of stares and looks wherever I go. I walk with a limp, and have eyes that aren't straight....so I guess I can see why I could attract attention, I just don't get how am i supposed to get past'em?.....I guess I've walked down there too much:blsmoke:.

yeah i may look "normal" from the outside but if you could see inside you may look away too. lol. its hard to try not to discriminate but feel like your discriminating anyway. Hold your head up high man. look people in the eye and say hello, and don't feel bad to tell a begger that your money is yours and to buy their own damn beer. If you really think its LEO baiting you to do something illegal then stop doing whatever your doing. Otherwise lighten up. you can't change physical issues. if you can't do anything about it then its nothing to be ashamed of. For instance, i'm an asshole...i can't change it so i don't care what others think about it. I hold me head up high and i say hello.

Carry a set of headphones in your pocket. Anytime you enter that area just slip on the headphones, pretend like you're listenin to music, and don't make eye contact with anyone. Works like a charm.

just go to Mcdonalds, burger king, taco bell, and all the other fast food places, motels, construction companies and get applications.
Then when asked hand a random one out and dont say shite just keep walking.
Or if your not the type to do that just give everyone who asks a dollar or buy them beer..
which ever choice you feel better about doing.
applications are free, your money isnt. Screw them moochers..

never give money to beggars. if they were going to use the money wisely they probably wouldn't be on the street begging for it. don't feel bad about a firm but polite "no."

If I have change I give it. I could give a crap what they spend it on. If it makes someone else's day easier when mine is going well....

If you see a homeless/beggar coming at you make sure to ask them if they have a dollar before they ask you ..... works like a charm!
