You Can't Save The World

everyone has heard it. "stop trying to save the world" or "how can you save the world when you can't save yourself" or something along those lines. well i want to by starting an initiative of knowledge. i think we are at the current technology requirement levels to begin to create a new society and world and it is, ironically enough, by going back to our roots.

i live in the us so i know some of what i say here is gonna be basically with the us as the main example but there is no reason any other country cannot adopt this system or method. i would love to get rich and patent this idea or somehow benefit from it but in perspective, money is bullshit compared to survival (even though it *really* helps)

if you are reading, here you are: A couple nights ago, i posted a sort of joke response on how to press your own oil, then it hit me. Obviously by now you probably know of the vast natural oil production certain plants have stored in seeds, leaves and fibers or both. the problem though with this is that farmers are people like the rest of US. They need money and right now money is in turning their corn into oil. i don't agree with this since corn or maize has been a staple crop for centuries if not eons. yes humans have been around for at least 4000 years and i'm pretty sure corn can be dated back even farther. Switch grass is better according to the generalized consensus. i dont have to mention which plant id prefer to grow for oil processing thats not corn or switch grass but i'm pretty sure its obvious.

fuck it, if you want more background info pm me but here is my grand master plan.

You need a 20x20 area in your house to first qualify, access to 16-20 thousand dollars, 3 solar panels, 6 batteries for energy storage and 3 roto gardens. each garden can be started at the thirds of the year(i.e jan, may, sept.) . i had the math done but my browser crashed so until i re do all the freaking calculations you will have to do em yourself to figure out whats the correct equipment for you. NO ONE SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE EASY SO LETS EMBRACE THE FACT THAT THE SOLUTION MIGHT BE COMPLEX. the way the system works is that instead of having farmers grow our food and turn it into fuel for subsidies, we grow our fuel, ship it for processing, like we mail out our tax forms, to refineries who can turn the plant material to oil. i know that 300 million people do not have that space available but i'm certain that those who do and have enough incentive to do so, aside the obvious benefit for society, will do so. And about the funds, i might sound like an asshole for saying this but i'm certain through the stimulus package some families received upwards of 2,000's dollars. my point being, that could have been 1 solar panel and roto garden, instead of 8,000 quarters to bathe in.

Update #1: Found the sites i used.

Photovoltaic Power Systems FAQ

"..run my 400 ft2 cabin with solar? A simple, 12VDC/120VAC system can cost under $1000. This could include a 120W PV module and module mount, 2 deep-cycle batteries, a charge controller, a 400W inverter, fuses, and wiring (installation not included). This could run lights (AC, or preferably DC), radio, small TV, etc. but not a typical refrigerator. The PV module would produce about 0.5 kWh/day (under good solar conditions) and the batteries would store a useful 2 kWh. Thus, on a 2-day visit you could typically use up to 3 kWh of electricity (1 from the sun and 2 from the batteries) and let the batteries recover while the cabin is not in use."

Hydroblogger - Hydroponics Gardening Articles and Information » Roto Gro

Q: How much electricity does the Rotogro Garden use?
A: Electricity consumption is calculated by multiplying the Wattage by Hours by Days by $. Eg: The 240 unit is powered by 2-600 watt HPS bulbs, so equals 1200 watts, or 1.2 Kw by 12 hours hrs = 14.4 kw per day, by 30days = 43.2 kw per month.

What i'm trying to calculate now is the exact number ratio of panels:batteries neccesary. if anyone wants to help, please do.

here are some other numbers though that i have tallied

1 Acre of Hemp can produce 1,300 gallons of oil
1 Acre can hold 19,600 plants if each plant has a 2x2 feet plot

1 roto grow can hold 240 plants
81 roto grows are equivalent to 1 acre of land

1 roto grow measures 50" X 60"

there are 119,117,000 housing units in the US. -Census.gov
That means that if each house were to have one roto grow, there would be an equivalent of 1,470,580 acres of plants.
that totals to 28,823,368,000 plants or
1,911,754,000 Gallons of oil

Hemp
It's not just good for oil, it's good for almost everything under the sun. So that plant per, needs to be x1000 or x one million. (numbers from tampicos)
Who can grow more cannabis yearly, north america or south america?(even the middle east could out grow america with no question and cheaper)
With the way our government works and dirty words like NAFTA, we would end up buying/importing most of the cannabis. Making south america very rich in american money while american CEOs would control the market here. In this market they would set the price...and here we would only to stand at the foot of the very same problem, supply/demand and control.
oil is not the problem here, it's whos in control of the oil.
