So I got a strong northern lights plant sitting in amend soil for fun. This plant is going strong despite all the challenges it’s faced lol. I just noticed white hairs in my plant and I’m wondering if it’s starting to bud due to the light cycle? I live in oahu, Hawaii so if anyone has any advice lmk thanks guys!CC4180CB-B0AB-41EE-8680-8F51C57CFC51.jpeg4D5883FB-835A-409D-981A-567C3386A123.jpeg9250C64D-D625-41EE-A13A-F12F4A646718.jpeg

Yep, your plant is flowering because our days never get longer than 14 hours. You wont really be able to get plants much bigger than that without using lights. Also, that Kellogg's amend soil is an absolute waste of money and will not grow plants. If you're serious about this hobby, spend $20 on a bag of specialty soil from oahu garden supply or the hydro shop in kahala, if shes still there. I'm sure theres other shops too, but lowes does not have what you need at this point in your grow career.

Also, come check out the Hawaii outdoor thread to see how your neighbors are doin it: https://rollitup.org/t/hawaii-growers.56670/

Yeah.. the Trio.... that's it. I've decided that my well water has plenty of CA.. IF I need MG in early veg, I'll just do a epsom salt foliar spray at lights out a couple of times.
You could add the Epsom to the feed water too like Ren does. But I know foliar works faster.

I've got plenty of Ca in my well water too so I've gotta be careful what I add since it can build up in my reused soil. My ppm is only like 140 though, so it's not bad water, just high in Ca.

And I do try to add extra Mg to keep the Ca:Mg more inline. Epsom and Langbeinite are good, but I'm becoming a fan of Langbeinite lately. That's for soil though. But when I mess with the GH and coco I'm gonna add Epsom.

Mine is like ~320ppm out of the well. Lots of minerals in it tho besides CA... thanks again for the CO free water LOL!
