I called the police last night about two men with flashlights around my yard. I was home alone and scared shitless it took them (police) two hours to arrive.

I had security cams last year and it clearly shows the neighbor down the block and the police told me it wasn't enough evidence that from the video it couldn't be proved without a doubt it was him. I told the police that I confronted the neighbor with the video and he admitted he stole it and the police said it was a he said she said thing and they couldn't do shit. I'm done with disrespectful people who don't now how to work hard and earn their own.
Ahh well I'd handle it myself. Had a pos steal something out of my garage and found it listed on the csprings Craigslist. So met him in a dark alley. He will never come to my neighborhood again. I hate people like that and would rather have the closure with stomping on him.

I haven't had to deal with rippers since the beginning of the med card era. But in the late 80's had a couple of run ins with the rippers, lets just say they never ripped again. In the early 80's hiking in HI I stumbled through a man made forest I say that because there wasn't a branch lower than 6'. I did look up to see the prize which was wonderess but brought the eyes down and didn't touch a thing, and hiked on through and didn't come back the same way. Months later I was gifted a large cola, from a friend who knew an unidentified third party. So i'd say karma works in both directions.

I think I might have went to far but I need some sleep! I seriously feel bad for the idiot who decides to ignore the signs I would rather be shot than caught in one of those traps;):P

I NO WAY condone thiefing someones plants but I would take these pics down. If by some chance someone comes and gets shot, these pics are proof of premeditation which will lead to a nice murder charge. Same with traps....you can get a nice lawsuit if someone gets in one of those traps. I totally agree with ya here on both accounts but no need to put yourself in hot water by posting as such.

Hi everyone. Moving to Lyons in a little over 2 weeks. My dad has a place up in the foothills. Would like to start vegging some plants indoors in February and put them outside eventually. I haven't ever grown before. My cousin just finished up an outdoor season in Cali. My dad has done 3 plants at the place a few years ago, but doesn't really know what hes doing. Not asking for help on the basics. Just wondering if there are some Colorado specific things I need to be aware of. Things like elevation, humidity, when to place them outside, etc. I believe the place is at 7800 feet. All advice is welcome.

I'm in the springs and didn't put my girls outside until the end of May, early June. Too cold earlier.

I do 18 for veg before going out. Just tradition for me so I can't answer your question. Congrats on your dome purchase! Happiness is riding out a hail storm in your greenhouse while everything outdoors is getting pummeled.
Yay! no more trash bag covering...tarp holding...bs. Last yr my buddy calls me from the springs and says "hail storm coming your way dude, its super bad" I knew the tarps couldnt withstand the winds that were coming I jumped up and took trash bags to the garden and put 3-4 trash bags around a plant and bungie corded. This was like a wk before harvest..I couldnt believe i saved all of them. What a rush that was lol

What would you recommending temps being outdoors @ night before putting things in the greenhouse? Got one hoop house up a couple days ago, at night w/ 2 space heaters it was 40 degrees, during the day got to 95 w/o heaters. -- I did find a couple of small air leaks i fixed. hopefully it will retain heat a little better now

I like to be able to maintain night temps in the 60s so I usually don't put mine in the gh until early June. It is too expensive for me to heat a large gh for small little plants so I keep them in the house until then. That's just how I do it, everyone takes a different path.

I almost cried last year but my greenhouse held up. I found a couple golf balls that made it through the plastic. Screw you hail.

Are you gonna let us know if your dome really only takes 6 hours to set up? Even if twice that, I'm jealous. I'm working on an addition to mine and targeting June 1 to get done. LOL

just tell me what tools we will need to set it up. all of mine are in the work truck, which would never make it down your driveway. so i just need to throw them in my beater pickup and i'll be there. might even have to bring the dogs with me.
