Yield increasing techniques

Hello, a lot of people have recommended using some sort of training methods in order to increase the yield on my outdoor plants, i am wondering what method if any i should use, i am nervous that i may injure my plants and instead hinder there progress, as well as this what have your results been when using your method? Does using these methods actually increase yield and if so how drastic is the effect thanks a lot!

By far, the most popular form of training is topping and it works wonders for robust outdoor plants. You can also top one plant several times by just topping each new top over and over again, the final result is a bushier, less tall plant with more top colas.

IMG_1149.JPG xD^ this guy. but yeah basicly Mainline, Lst, Topping all are good for getting MORE tops, not the actual increase of yeild! i am unsure if any grower can give you advice on how to increase your overall yield but we can all give you advice on increasing your tops, which in turn usually...USUALLY turns the plant into a bigger, stronger, healthier bush.
ill throw pix up of 3 plants. 1 topped/lsted other left alone and one just lst'd.
the bush is the Topped/lst'd plant. all autos btw.

Best tip I can give is to stay away from cannabis specific bloom boosters and additives that might cause yellowing and leaf drop during bloom. Green healthy leaves(even during flower) power bud
production.

In others words do whatever it takes to keep them healthy till chop time. That's what gives me my biggest yields.

Why do they show the Mainline plant next to two plants that look sick to begin with? I don't buy the fact that mainline will make the plant heather...

I seriously cosign this!! overall plant health is the main goal while giving the plant what it needs in the correct ratios. All of those bloom boosters in conjunction with high PK base nutrients are just overkill lol. But the fancy words and exotic label are just so hard to resist when buying snake oils for most.

Majority of elder RIU members seem to like the 1-3-2 NPK ratio for flower(specifically Uncle Ben and Homebrewer)

Simple topping and supercropping works for me indoors and out

OP are you amending your medium with all the nutrients needed until harvest or are you hand feeding? if you're hand feeding I would def. keep an close eye out with your plants health wise

3-1-2 & 1-3-2 NPK. Veg & Bloom. I read plants not labels. Whatever they needs,I give them.

Uncle Ben is the man. A simple approach can sometimes be the best approach.
I suggest you read some of his threads. Specifically the topping and the tips and pointers threads

Good growing

I am undecided as of yet mate i am starting of indoors so they are going in seedling specific soil for 2-4 weeks depending on weather as well as size, however this is my first outdoor and i am unsure what medium would be best for when theyre transplanted, i am leaning towards an organic medium as many have told me it leads to a cleaner smoke and is generally beneficial however i have no idea what to mix and in what quantities, it would be extremely appreciated if you could point me in the right direction!

those plants are NOT sick! they are 2 months into flowering and the yellowing of the leafs is natural as it is pulling the sugars/stored nutrients from all fan leaves. the plant that was Lst'd was also 70/30 Sativa dominant versus 50/50 with the other phenos!
