I have a 3x3 tray with air rocks, 16 gallon res with Dutch passion nutes, 600hps light 18/6,Hindiana auto. Done in a basement where grow area is surrounded by Mylar. This is my second grow, the fist time I used biodiesel auto and both time came out great potency wise but not very dense. 1 hindiana yielded 2oz (topped) and 3 biodiesel yielded about 11oz (not topped). Any help for better yield and density would be much appreciated :)

I'd say those are pretty damn good yields for autos man, I wouldn't top.

I'm not going too but I'm trying to get denser buds they are super fluffy, I'm thinking about changing my nutes but not sure

Advanced nutrients big bud has been shown to really pack on the weight. Ive got a bottle for this grow so I'll let you know how it goes.

That was the direction I was thinking of too

density on most auto's varies from pheno to pheno
bringing your temps down during flower would probably help
nutes work wonders but its not the only variable to trich production
wattage, spectrum, temps, nutes can all be spot on and still have fluffy buds
if the predetermined bud structure is more of a ruderalis type then it will never get dense
but it will still be sticky icky if it has good genetics

its hard to judge if topping helps or hurts you from 2 different strains
really you would want to grow atleast 4 out of the same strain
this would give you more of a idea
ive had luck with it flat canopies with easy lst better light penetration
    just my 2 cents

image.jpg Well I jus finished curing one Hindiana auto and came out with a qp but was also topped. I'm gonna get a exhaust fan for the hood to bring it closer for light penetration, but a better bulb and switch to advance nutrients to see if that makes a difference

What strain would u recommend for density? Next batch is Sweet Afagani Delicious. What auto would u recommend for density and potency

    sweet tooth from barneys farm
    afghan kush ryder
dinafem amnesia auto <~~~ wicked sativa dominant and strong smoke most of the dinafems are really good and pretty plants this would be the most stable IMO
but even these have ruderalis looking bud structures on some of the pheno's
find a strain that you like then grow it out 10-20 times
this way you can identify the pheno's you like before preflower
then force a hermi early on let it self pollinate
    this will stabilize it
the seeds will be fem and what ever other plants it pollinates will also be fem

    mixed spectrum would be best

more blues at first more reds at the end
but lower temps is the key
you figure one 5th of your weight is just trichs
so i would try and improve trich production and at that point density doesnt matter anymore
if its popcorns that get you trashed then whats it matter if its popcorns :)

Think different or autoxtreme both by Dutch Passion. They look like they're monsters.

    good choice brother
i have 3 la frutta di venus going
    just some freebies
but so far i am very impressed have 2 outdoors and one indoors
i have little experience with delicious but i'm hooked already
get you some dinafems bro you wont be dissapointed
i have had pheno's that where junk but its like that with every auto some of them are just dud's
every strain ive grown from them is top notch so far and ive been growing auto's for a few years now with the occasional photoperiod maybe 1-2 a year
i was hooked from the first lowrider i got my hands on was sickly and maybe yielded a half if you weighed the main stalk too >.< but i saw potential
and glad i stuck with them

    always wondered about the biodiesel
i usually keep a himalaya blue diesel in rotation one of my favorites
it has a good bud structure usually
