Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

I can see it now too. The ATF will roll up to some guys place and take away his guns, and kids, and everything. A few days later, the snoopy grandma across the street that always files complaints on everybody will pull out of her garage in brand new minivan.

He'll know exactly who turned him in, and you know the rest of the story.
no, do the three bears get the porridge?...why would the atf take his kids? what constitutes "and everything"...?
for gods sake man, you have a child, you owe them better than these paranoid fantasies...get the fuck in touch with reality, you owe it to your kid...

The families of the victims might have a say. War is Hell though and the results should be seen, but unfortunately people get used to anything, the bombing of cities in war and even Donald Trump and he makes many want to vomit.
i think more than a few of them might be happy to give permission, if they thought it might help stop this from happening again....

I think a Tucker vs. DeSantis showdown is quite likely. DeSantis doesn't quite have the juice, will see how his culture wars go though. I could very much see tucks make a 2024 run, and I think he will be vastly more palatable than trump to many and would pull a lot of people back that trump lost while retaining the crazies trump brought in.

Edit: I would have put Joe Rogan out there as another likely, but he committed the cardinal sin of not going harder when faced with controversy.
I really had not even considered Tucker. I doubt it. He's got the MAGA world by the balls right now but he has so much to lose by running. Better to be the kingmaker and take zero risk while controlling the other evil fuck actually runs.

I don't see it.

If the government passed a law that required firearms to be turned in for $100, or licensed for $100 many people would turn them in. It's a question of supply and demand, like anything else and training requirements would lower demand and drive up costs too. The cost of guns on the streets increases and it puts them out of reach of the average criminal, as the cost of gun ownership increases, the number of people will diminish. Sell it to them as a way to take guns from blacks and city folks while letting their demographic keep them, with a federal permit and license to operate, just like your car! Steadily erode the number of guns in circulation with regulations and restrictions, allow gun makers to be sued etc.

There is lot's that can and should be done inside the constitution. If you want to own a gun, then it will cost, because it imposes social costs, a sin tax, like cigarettes and alcohol. If you have to register, license your car and yourself, along with insuring it, then doing the same for guns is not unreasonable.
100 bucks isn't shit when you can get almost double the retail price selling one at a gun show...people pay for that anonymity...

Tucker is a narcist, he is heir to a vast fortune and does not need the money from foxnews, he does need the attention however and will do anything to get it and stay "relevant" as they all say.

It works over time Roger, one step at a time. Make it $100, if you turn it in and a grand if you don't register it, the gun is confiscated and you are prohibited from owning one for a minimum of a year. Gun training and operating license, is a separate issue as is insurance, like owning a car. Cars can kill, but were not designed to, yet they empower the individual and they and those who operate them must be regulated and insured. A car is of more use in the fight for liberty than an individual owning a gun, and a lot of owners or their families are killed by their own gun, a staggering statistic.

I'm not really sure he was heir to the Swanson monies. His mom married into it and I think he was adopted into it. My understanding is that he and his brother each got $1 in the will that was finally accepted. Mommy may have gotten a lot more. Regardless, he has all the monies he needs (though he's always been a privileged little twat) and a shit ton of power flowing from his control of the undereducated.

I also kind of suspect that he doesn't really want anybody poking around his closets.

I might be crazy, but at least i'm not paranoid all the time. My kid is always safe at home, I have no cell phone to be bothered by, no bank accounts.. life is pretty good. I can sense BS and bad vibes from miles away, and really don't worry at all about the amount of violence in the world, or anything like that. I get that its a messed up world, and try not to judge anyone. I don't blame anyone for wanting to escape reality. Not even the shooters..
Crazy and paranoid.

landline infrastructure is junk and since so few people keep their landline I don't see them installing new copper wire which is sad because it is WAY more secure than a cellphone.
This is a common belief. Neither are secure. With the advent of digital, any landline/cell can be listened listened in on remotely. Law enforcement has full access.

I relinquished my access when the RCMP wanted my fingerprints for continued eligibility - F that! 34 years in telecommunications network design (CATV, landline phone, Internet).

I build everything on wheels so I can skirt the BS system as much as I can. Grow rooms, chicken coops, you name it. Even my cabin (brand new house framed up on old double wide frame that i beefed up) in the woods. Your right there is no plumbing in it yet, but I gaurantee just my plumbing collection for hydroponics is worth more than the free spending money in your bank account, lol. I stash cash everywhere. The place is basically paid off, so I'm retiring to just farm for property taxes, at the early age of under 40 still.

I've been completely cell free for almost a year now, since I fell in the bay with it. I was just like you know what.. screw it. I'm not gonna keep paying the prepaid bill like i had for 9 years. All I get is scam calls, and people wanting me to be responsible. I get shoddy service on the side of the hill at home anyway.

I'm telling you, it's like nostalgic life in the early 90's again without the phone. People that really need to get ahold of me know where to find me.

I'm not doing it out of fear and paranoia, i'm just tired of being bothered with peoples shit and wanna be left alone, except when I drop my son of in the city every week. I go out and socialize quite often when I do.

The city has turned into a fentynal infested wasteland with crime & needles everywhere. The theives bust out windows in broad dayligh, and smoke meth and shootup right on the sidewalk. I worry about my kid stepping on one in the park. Your tripping if you don't see how bad it is.

More people close to you will OD than get shot, mark my words.

And yeah if there was 3 vials of acid in a liter or so of water, sprayed on a crowd from a super soaker.. within minutes it would be a shit show. You could probably storm a capitol like that..

I would have said the same thing about trump. I think ego will push him into the race. Skeletons in the closet don't matter as much as they once did, the party faithful have shown they will accept quite a bit.

Tucker can't just sit in his spot forever, he will become irrelevant like Bill O'Reilly or Glen beck if he tries. He's on an entertainment medium, needs to keep his brand fresh. He could run just for the publicity.

Haha, you guys act as if I don't know how to rewire the stators on free junk fisher & paykel washing machines, turn them into hydro turbine power plants, and build yagi antenna's from copper slug tape so I can use reaver pro too hack the WPS pin codes on the neighbors routers from 3 miles away...

Like, I'm a right wingnut or something. As if I would ever label myself, or fall into any category.

No, that is not the case.

I'm more like McGyver, who doesn't need guns to solve problems.

The internet can be a dangerous place as well. As bad as it is good, like I always say.

You have to guard access to it, just like a gun safe, especially with kids around.

The internet most certainly plays a role in the rise in gun violence, if you ask me. It affects every aspect of our lives, this day and age.

Kids are smart at hiding things, especially on their computers. You really have to put time and effort into knowing whats going on in their world.

So much time and effort, that I don't know how you guys can even go to work or trust your kid in school while you do.

I only have time to be a full time dad, and make sure my kids don't get involved with violence and drugs, etc. Teach them to be completely self reliant. Not go to work for some other guy or company all week. Or to give all my energy away in any other way.
