this is my buddies first grow so he's not sure if these are pre flowers (optimism I suppose) or just new growth (leaves).

Also, I know everyone says use nutes around 3 weeks (plants are 23 days old today from placing seed in wet paper towels) but his plants are looking green and (I think) looking well. Should he still add some nutes at 1/4 strength or "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"??

thanks guys

I'd start using light nutes. You don't want to wait for a deficiency to start feeding, ya know? I'm looking at some of the leaves and it looks like they are curling upwards a little bit. This is usually from heat stress. Maybe too close to the lights or too hot? Looks good otherwise. Start using a weak nutrient solution and slowly start adding more on each feeding.

Yeah the curling has gotten A LOT better. Almost all the leaves were doing that. He upped the lights a bit and they're slowly getting better. I'll tell him to try the light nutes :) thanks for the reply man :)

Where exactly should I be looking for those pistils?
