Yellowing leaves, should I harvest?

Hello RIU. I'm currently 54 days into flowering a few bagseeds. The plant in question has been lsted. She has lost all of her fan leaves. Now most all of the sugaf leaves are yellowing and falling off. Hairs are about 80% orange, most have receaded into the bud except for a few white and orange hairs. The tops of all the buds have gone a light purple and alot of the small leaves that poke out of top cola have started browning and goin crusty. The only nutes shes had are the ones in the soil. Been feed molasses once a week since week 4. By the sounds of it does she sound ready? Sorry I don't have camera or a microscope at the moment. Should I let her go till all leaves are gone? Shes pretty much just buds and branches now.

Cut a small bud and dry it in the micro, if you like the high harvest.

I have already taken a bud and but it on top of my HPS hood. It was dry in a few hours. It looked pretty good and still had a nice fruity/skunky smell. I smoked it, but I'm not as high as I like to be. Still pretty good though. I heard that potency will increase a bit when cured. True?

if 80 % of the hairs are brown and orange she sounds done to me get a close up of her to check the tri.

Its definately better 24 hours later and so on gets sweeter. Fast drying reduced the quality. hang the big ones and blow a fan on them, dont have them in a room drying without a fan.

So should I harvest? Even though a few of the hairs are still white? I'll have pics up as soon as camera arrives. I just cut a bud in time to dry and cure a bit to smoke on Christmas.

I thought it was a bad idea to have a fan blowing directly on drying buds? I cut another branch and it is now drying in the spare closet. The smaller bud I cut the other day was dry. So I took a bit off it when I first woke up. It was first time I smoked today so I know wasn't the other stuff I have. I took 1 hit and upon release could feel my eyelids drop. Second hit and I find my self snapping out of my daydream to a grin and relization that I'm pretty damn high! The smell is still present and quite strong. Can't wait to see it after a cure. I will continue to let her go until maybe day 60? The leaves are now going a rusty red/brown? Newayz, I 'm already impressed with this grow and I still got 4 more ladys beefin up. Yeah... life is good.

if its just buds on branches and the plant lo0ks like its ready to die/or at the end of its life cycle par-say then i would say yes harvest its the trichomes that u really have to pay close attention to when harvesting as they will give or take the high u desire if harvested late thc content will start to degrade

Well its still holdin strong. There are 0 fan leaves left and all the remaining sugar leaves are going yellow. If i see a leaf thats yellow I give it a small downward tug. Usually if its ready to go it will go, but leaves are still clinging for life! So i'm just gonna let here flower until Christmas day and have a nice little Christmas trim. lol Is it normal for a few new white hairs to pop up? Not alot the buds are still 80- 85% red, but the top cola was all red and I noticed a few new white hairs today. The bud that is drying looks so good. Nice red/orange hairs, light green, skunky smell, and gets me pretty stoned.

wait till all the leaves are dead or dying.during the final 2 weeks the plant sucks all the energy out of the leaves and puts it into the buds. the final 2 weeks you will see the buds start to get thicker and bigger and more crystaly and sticky even though it may stall for a few weeks and not really seem like its doing much but thats normal, people tend to harvest way too early imo. last 2 weeks is extremely important, like i said that when they gain alot of the bud mass and all that fun stuff. dont harvest

If ya done any research what so ever you'd know better then putting Fan by hanging buds.


It'll more then likely start to form mold. If you smoke mold then be my guest.

Better off putting in a closet hung up on hangers or whatnot with no air-flow.

Don't take everything as real advice, always double check if not sure.

wow, you couldnt be more wrong......i think your the one who needs to do some research.....

Ok, I can wait a few more weeks. I just got done giving her a flush. The few buds I have taken down are now in my dresser closet hung on fishing line in a crate with holes so theres pretty good airflow. The door on the side their drying is closed as not to let light hit directly on the buds. The other door is open and i have a fan propped up blowing air into the dresser but not directly on the buds. Is this right? Also, I know your sappose to wait until the stems are no longer bendy and make a snap sound when broken, but the buds seem realy dry. The stems are still bendy though. Should i continue to dry or put them in jars? I know curing takes the moisture from inside the buds/stem and displaces evenly throughout the bud but what abouit when the stem is that dry? You prolly cooked some of the thc out of that bud by sitting on top of your hot ass light bro.

I don't doubt it stankyfingas. The bud that was left to dry the right way got me much higher.

Thanks for the advice Darkdestruction + rep. I'm glad I didn't harvest cuz she hit a growth spurt 1/2. lol Mostly the main cola. She pretty much started foxtailing and spittin out new pistils everywhere. Here buds are getting more of a ball shape then a cone. I went to 3 diffrent Radio Shacks and none of them carried pocket microscopes. They said they had to be ordered online. I'de rather get it locally to avoid S&H cost and overall hassle/wait. Anybody know where I can get one elsewhere?

i couldnt find one locally either man so walking through walmart stoned one day i came up with the great idea to check the spygear in the toy section the fingerprint finding set had a pocket microscope with a light that was 30x for $20 bucks so i bought it but couldnt see shit didnt work worth a damn. then in target i came across the eye clops. this one is fucking awesome cost $19 dollars and it hooks up to you tv! it does 100x 200x and 400x though its real hard to see most stuff aqt 200 and 400. 100w great though plus it won the great toy award by moms lol. also found this one online didnt buy it though but its 5 bucks so i prob will

Yeah, I'mma keep lookin around locally but thanks for the link. + rep I've got another question though. I have a sativa bagseed like 7-8 weeks flowering but its going realy slow. It doubled the size of the other plants so I had to raise the lights and post other plants on pots and I had to bend her down. She looks like shes only 4 weeks flowering though, is this normal?

indica short bushy plant/sativa tall lanky plant.. also sativas take like 13 weeks some more to flower while indicas 8-10 weeks. ive read most people try to top sativas to make them shorter but to late for that now. maybe LST the sativa ive never done it you can look it up in the faq section though gl man

Uh, Dude.............The air circulation from the fan helps prevent mold and rot. Sitting hanging with no air circulation (along with humidity/moisture)is what causes mold!!!!

I want some of what YOU'RE smokin'!!!!!! lol!
