yellowing fans/ red stems not entire sure cuz I thought I gave enough food

Hey hey,

So im kind of on a random schedule but usually water once every 3-4 days and feed every other water. Using Gen organics line bloom and booster along with calmag and some kelp, i use micro blast once every few weeks. As soon as the started to really start to develop nice flowers the serious yellowing followed. strain is blackjack. Pics of indica looking plant is an IND dominant mix. Still pretty new and trying to get a fine tune to my regime. Help is realyy appreciated!!

I also top fed them all with Some bat company budswell and added some Peruvian seabird to the indica because it looks the wort. I really feel like I have givin them enough on the npk and the micro last and kelp should cover all the micros. I'm stumped:wall:

Don't worry about it. Your doing a good job. Your other leaves look healthy Green
She's just doing here thing. Those Yellowing Fan leaves will die and fall off.
What you want to pay attention to now are the other green leaves.
Keep doing what your doing.

thanks for the likes and the motivation Fuel. I've actually been creeping on RIU for months and just got the guts to finally sign up. I'm thinking with the last feeding and once the micro start to breakdown the top dressing they should be okay or at least I'm hoping lol. The sativa has me worried the most. And I'm kind of excited cuz the back right blackjack is showing slight purple. Pheno I'm guessing :leaf:

I agree losing leaves in flower is normal but in picture 5, I have to say the plants look sick, not tired. How far into flower are you? If you're not a week or two away from harvest I don't think pic 5 is of a healthy plant.

That's my sativa and I agree with you. I havnt quite gotten sativan feeding habbets down yet. Same thing happened with the last one. I have since stopped further yellowing and they all have been looking and smelling sweeter by the day. Question. I grow all organic and have noticed when I water i see these tiny tiny lil white bugs kind of float to the top of the water and collect togeather as an effort to stay alive. Once water drains they dissapear. They don't seem to be hurting roots as plants are still taking up nutes. I'm just curoius. And these were seen in a fully healthy plants soil. But yeah I think the original problem was just lack of N and mabye some K

I agree with this. Its not just the yellowing fans but also the general look of the plants and "wilt" of the leaves. Seems like it could be an under/overwatering issue? I suck at judging problems from pictures tho lol

What i see especially from pic five and the explination given is that your throwing too much crap in there. Claw, bigtime. See how they look like skeleton jacks fingers curled over? To much nutrients. Also it seems that your growing containers are too small from the angle shown. Youll get better results if you give those roots room to spread. What you have on the bottom is what you can get out of the top.

Yeah looking at the pics again, it seems like some nutrient fuckery. The leaves aren't just straight droopy or anything but extremely claw like. I think that can be from a variety of things but I would pull up a chart and have a look.

I usually only use a nutrient booster in flower cuz I use https://www.rollitup.org/organics/539844-subs-supersoil.html and it controls everything for me from PH to nutes the plants need in veg...I do use a 14-24-24 in bloom cuz they want more P and K but you still need a good amount of N to keep those leaves green so they can feed the buds at the end...good luck...this is all JMO...

in this pic above she looks unhappy it's not just the yellowing the texture of the leaves looks poor and they are curling a little
they are in very early flower too, to show deficiency so early on is strange even plants on miracle grow would survive much longer
perhaps you over watered them the leaves look like they have some spots on maybe some root problems seems like a combination of problems
its possible they could pick up and get better to some extent if you can locate what you did that caused it
if they do not drastically improve soon get some new plants going

pick off all the dead crap so you can see what is left and green, you will be able to see more accurately if its dying quicker than it is growing new growth

I got a batch of super soil thay has been curing since last year. I will be trying that next round. I want to get a batch of subs soil going and try that. Last time I checked ph was okay but I may be wrong. Is it possible that to much of one nute is locking out P. Cus I know purple stems are a sign of that but I kmow for a fact its there. Also tho blackjack has a purple pheno that is showing in one of them so mabye the purple stems are genetic. I will post pics tmrw as they are 30 days into flower today and I feel all except the sativa are doinf pretty good but a second opinion is always appreciated

I gotta agree with you! They are 1 gal air pots. I have a a few 3 and 5 gals also...and I let it veg wayyyy to long. But my understanding is that they can't get root bound in air pots due to "air pruning" I guess that's BS tho..I just can't get those damn sati as down....alsoooo it was a freebie from the bank I ordered labeled as "indica/sativa mix. I don't think it has any high quality genes in it. Not making excuses though cuz I deff F***ed that one up.

picking up ingredients for subs soil tmrw n I'm goin to let that cook for a few months and just try that out prob in the spring

Todays pics of the blackjack. One is really purpling up good and my younger one which is one day 18 flower is showing signs of purple also. All the others are at day 31 flower. I think you have issues. The purple leaves you mention look OK but it seems a little early to be seeing that. The bright yellow leaves aren't age/flower related -- they are due to some problem. I've never had that in flower (except when I had root rot issues in my first two feeble DWC grows). I've also had that in late veg when I underfed. I currently grow using full GO line in coco with smart pots and I feed heavy (per bottle) with every watering. I have both 3 and 5 gallon smart pots and my plants are usually 3-5 feet tall by the 3rd week of flower. I'm in the second week of flower now and I have no yellow leaves. I do have a few browning up and dying at the very bottom of the plants, but this is normal behavior, IMO. Re air pruning, you're misunderstanding how it works. It doesn't let you grow a tree in a one gallon pot, it just prevents the roots from circling like you see in a regular pot. Smart pots are the only type of pot I would ever use, personally. They are durable, easy to store, and do a great job growing the plants.

I prefer the 5 gallon pots but use the 3 when I'm doing something unusual (like growing a few males for seeds, etc.). I really think 3 is adequate but the larger plants in a grow usually have the entire 5g pot filled with very fine roots. If you have the room, I would go with the 5g pot. I put my clones/seedlings in 1g pots after a couple of weeks and then transplant to 3 or 5 gallon when they come out of my tiny veg closet and into the main room for 3-4 weeks of big room veg.

I'm not sure transplanting this late in flower will be helpful. I transplanted from 3 to 5g pots 3 weeks in to flower one grow and the roots didn't really develop any more into the new space.

The only bugs I've ever had were fungus gnats. If you are seeing small white bugs, then maybe you have something feeding on your roots causing the issues you see.

I've been using the go box like you but only went heavy strength this last feeding about 6-7 days ago. And that's when I started to see the yellowing slow down. I originally felt from when these pics the have another month and I was going to give one more heavy feed and taper off. From there with some aact's do you think I should let them go longer and give another 2or 3 heavy feedings instead then taper off. That would bring it to like 70+days flower. There blackjack wish is mostly indica and I'm running a 600mh with supp2700k floros. I know hps are the standard for flower and I have one but I'm experimenting with the mh for increased tric production

and the bugs..yea I have no idea what they are. If I had to take a guess I'd say thrips. Any recommendations for a good soil critter killer for someone growing organic? I here about a few but the only thing I've used we're predatory nematoads for fungus gnat larva

i dont think i see any deficiency. I see claw and to me that means abundance. They are in teeny pots so he probably figured they needed food....which they did.....id water water water feed at 2/3 water water feed at 2/3. Thats what id do take it or leave it.
