Yellow striations on some of the leaves

Thanks again McFonz. Is this the device you are speaking of - http://www.gianthydro.com/product_p/HIPRIMO.htm ?

When you say "...post an up-to-date picture" in your post, what picture are you referring to?

As far as the nutes in the medium, I am guessing at this point the only thing laying below the surface is a huge rootball since I can't even stick in the moisture meter past the first inch or so of soil on top. Likely rootbound in the 5 gal pail but nothing I can do about it since I have no more space/lights.

Thanks again!
Yes.

Of the plant.

Then stack another 5gal pail below the current one and poke a lot of holes so that the roots can move to the lower one.
Rootbound plant will show a lot of problems and yield significally less.
If you don't have enough light to support more growth just remove branches.

McFonz - you are just a wealth of knowledge. I will get more pix, can't until tomorrow though.

What an idea re stacking the pails, sounds real neat. I just don't know if I should wait for my next grow or not as this is my first and it may be pushing the envelope even as simple as it sounds. Wouldn't I be reducing yield by removing branches though? And/or since I am using femmed seeds and it is about 10 days into flowering could that stress the plant outs and make them herm on me?
Thanks again!

Thanks :-)

Just stack 'em, it can't do much wrong if you use a tried and true soil mix. (you could mix 2 tablespoons of high P guano per gallon to the mix and use less flowering nutes for a while if you will)
Anyhow, now is the time to do it - as long as the plant still grows a lot of roots.
Root bound plants as bad as you describe don't make the buds swell and that reduces yield far more than having a few less branches.

Removing branches isn't that much of a stress to the plant if its healthy. Nothing to go hermi over with somewhat stable genetics.
Getting root bound is MUCH more stressful.

Anyhow, if you don't wish to trim away branches you could train them to form a thicker canopy. You would need more air circulation but it will yield more (but the buds would be somewhat smaller, just much more of them)

By the way, you will also need to water MUCH less frequently.

thats such a great idea without transplanting stack a pot and cut out the bottom of the other and the roots continue to grow down without stressing the plant at all thats such a simple fix for a rootbound plant i like it, it very well could be a root bound issue i had a plant last year i had a problem with that it turned yellow like a N def though didn't streak but anything can happen i guess

It just looks like plain old NUTE BURN its just showing in a differant way, thats just my two sence. FLUSH then start back with nutes at 1/2 strength then go abit more 3/4, I find that u realy never or rarely every have to use FULL strenght, If i read your post right,,,you had said you gave them or it a DOUBLE dose of FF nutes. BAD IDEA, never give a double dose of FF or any other nute unless (i guess organic). I only give a FULL dose in the end of 5th week flowering or 6 week as LAST feeding be fore FLUSH then harvest.

Looks like the switch back to FF Grow Big has done away with the issue. The new leaves don't show the streaks. If I had bothered to read the FF nute feeding sshedule maybe I wouldn't have had the problem since it shows that I should be giving Grow Big, Big Bloom & Tiger Bloom all at the same time at this point in time. Live and learn, hope that takes care of it. They are doing super otherwise. Thanks for all the assistance!
