I went back and looked, ...OK I'm confused, what light cycle are they on now? You should maybe be thinkin of switching to 12/12? If they are 2months old. And they are SUPER SMALL for 2 months even the biggest one. They need bigger pots FOR SURE. Those cups are not big enough for this stage.

these are the 2 that are about 8 inches tall they may not be exactly 2 months but they're only a week or 2 at the most from being 2 months wat sized gallon pot do you think i should use?

i got the 2 oldest one's on 18/6 and the others which are about a month are still on 24 all the time...
24 ON is really most effective for the first week for a good jumpstart, or clones. Aftert that they need darkness and rest time. And your just wastin light. They grow at night too.

I can't tell you what size pot, but 5 gallon are nice. or 10

But here's the thing, for big buds, you need big root system to support all the water and nutrient uptake.

Depends on how much space you have to work with too. I use small pots in my micro grow to bind the roots and keep the plant a manageable size.

so if i was looking to get a whole 16 oz off 1 plant a 5gallon bucket will probably be min? so i should put all of em on an 18/6? then in about a week or 2 take the oldest 1 and put em on 12/12?

16 0z from one plant unfer CFL lighting is NOT POSSIBLE in any way shape or form. :(

But yes all plants should be in 18/6 now. And your good to wait a week for the other to adjust before going to 12/12. The rapid decreas in light may cause an explosion of bud growth.

The way you'll be doing things it would be realistic to expect, One oz per plant of DRY WEIGHT final buds. This means that the wet weight of your plant needs to achieve roughly 100 grams. You loose 60-75% of its inital weight by drying. To do that you'll prolly need a 5 gallon pail right full. if not more.

ok i was always told a a pound a plant but i thought it was pushing it also...so if i get my setup right with lights and get dutchmaster liquid light and penetrator and other nutes how much do you think i can get off the 5 plants i got growing? mainly the 2 chrystal plants though

Without moving to 1000w hps, you won't do pound plants.

BUT that's not to say the QUALITY of your yelid has to suffer much. All those nutes if used right will contribute to growth, but more so to the quality, given the lighting conditions.

And assuming you don't end up with any males, then honestly i don't see you yeilding much more than 1-1.5 ounce DRY. It's your first grow, don't set the bar too high, just concentrate on keeping Healthy plants, and you'll be satsfied come harvest time.

i think my grow room is about 7' tall 4' wide and probably with 4-6sqft of floor space so i got room for em to atleast get 4 foot tall if needed because the chrystal isnt supposed to get taller than 32" but the mid plants are the 1's that need to get tall...my friends said with as much room as i have i should get a Qp a plant but like i said first time so idk wat to expect...on the pack of seeds is says 400-500g's but not exactly sure what that means

Thats 400-500 grams potential yeild. IF CONDITIONS ARE OPTIMAL.

Which for most are not. WEll all try to achiever optimal with our available resourses.

Go with a 400W hps then. They are WAY UNDER the heat radar. and your electricity bill won't suffer much either. I bought one for that exact reason.

i have to have a ballast for those right i cant just buy a buld and screw it in the socket?
Yea that's right. The ballasts can comein convienient forms though. Mines a little white box with a handle and about 12 feet of cable to the socket and the same from the box to the wall plug end.

If you screw in a HPS bulb into a regular socket, it will do nothing.
This is because it needs a 6000 volt jolt to fire up the gasses inside. Once ignited, it will then run off 120V. Thats the purpose the ballast serves.

ok i get it...i found 1 on a website for 100 bucks with a rebuilt ballast just hard scraping up the money. Do you think that i should cut the yellow leaves off or jut trim the yellow off or just leave it alone?

I apologize about my comment 12-18 inches away. I really did not pay attention to your lighting situation and wanted to make you aware of the fact that heat stress sometimes is the cause of yellowing leaves. During the veg stage I would use a good all around fert 20 20 20, and then when you decide to flower I would use big bud which has a 0 15 40 ratio. But as of now make sure your not over watering your plant. I have found that some mistakes are made with the pot you use, sometime the soil will seem dry at the top but at the bottom it is a messy slop so be sure your soil is drying all the way. Drainage in a pot can be clogged. Well again I apologize about my last comment and hope I gave some new advice you can consider.

Hey bud, Yea 100's good. I paid 200 for mine. And when it comes to takin leaves off, here's some info to ponder.

When the plant leaf is no longer green, it's of no nutritional value to the plant. So make the call.

I personally strip them off, it' makes it easier to notice if the condition is spreading to the other leaves.
