Yellow Fan Leaves in Flowering....Worried?

I am not one to freak out over my plants. It is called "weed" for a reason.

Third grow...learned a lot from the 1st two. 1st one with a 400w MH/HPS system. I am about to enter into week 5 of flowering and am starting to get quite a bit of yellow fan leaves. I mean yellow like a banana!

My P.H. is good and my nutes have been in check. Soil grow. Is this normal, no worries? Most of the plant looks good and the buds look good enough to lick.

Gotta luv molasses and Fox Farm Nutes!!

Like I say, "Growing Bud is like Masturbating....there is a general idea...but everyone does it different."

Anything to worry about?

I bolded what you said about molasses, because too much molasses can lock out N, your plant is yellowing from lack of N

so hareycarey was right they just want a bit of N and other than that they look great

Interesting! Most stuff I have read says that you can not go to far with Molasses. I will cut down on that and feed with plain water the next few runs with a little bit of Veg nute in to boost N. Thanks for the input!

If yer flowering you need to be cutting back on the Nitrogen man, I'm not sure if it will hurt it but you need to be cutting back on nitrogen and increase Phosphorus. Yellowing leaves in flowering are normal bro, just means its not getting as much Nitrogen as its use too and from the looks of it yer about half way to harvest so it's all good man.

I am using the whole Fox Farm line. Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. This is my first week of adding the Veg nute back in after flowering. It lasts for two weeks and then the N is cut off.

Thanks for all the input. I guess this is what chicks feel like a month before birth!

Looks fine, though your yellowing is starting a little early (if you're halfway to harvest that is) but that's because you're using molasses. I started using molasses 2 weeks ago and my upper fan leaves are yellowing harder than yours and the buds are fattening up really nice. Some people say you don't need N during flowering but that's not necessarily true, you will need a constant supply of N for your plant to continue it's normal processes without severe deficiencies, but if you're closer to harvest than just halfway that yellowing may be normal and it just means your plant is sucking nutes from it's fan leaves to increase bud production (a bi-product of the molasses) so at any rate- beautiful plants bro! Great job thus far, keep em on track =)
