Hi guys, tmps, 82F, 400W HPS 12/12 Critical Mass Auto. I have some fan leaves, exclusively older and lower leaves that are blotching yellow/light brown from the interior of the leaf to the tips. Not like the usual note burn I've seen but I was reading today that epsom salts (MAG) would help. anyways heres a picture. Using pure blend pro bloom, pure blend liquid karma and some molasses here and there. I checked for bugs with a super bright ass LED light and couldn't find any, also all of the flowers look gorgeous and show no signs of weakness. And apparently Veg, leaf growth isn't needed now cuz Im flowering, but Im new and nervous so help me out hah! Thanks,

It looks like mag to me, but I'm having the exact same problem at the moment pretty much. What I wanted to ask is whats the reason for the 12/12 light cycle? If its an auto I always thought you ran on a 18/6 or 20/4 type schedule? That's what I have done for diesel ryders in the past anyway ;)

I thought the same with the light cycle. But the guy at the hydro store in town said the genetics still root to 12/12 apparently auto feminized seeds are off breeds of hermaphrodites or something. Was the 18/6 through flower workkng well for you? I had a MH for veg now a HPS

Well the story is with autoflowering plants that they have taken a strain (usually indica as far as I know due to most people wanting their autoflowering plants short) and crossed it with a Ruderalis plant (theres sativa, indica and ruderalis). Ruderalis plants produce next to no cannabinoids, but what they bring to the table is that they flowering regardless of light schedule. You see the crazy short flowering times of autoflowering strains? Thats due to the fact that they can process much more light than a regular strain each day, and then use it to finish up quicker.

I would say the Hermaphrodite thing he was talking about was in regards to it being a fem seed, because that's the method used to create feminized seeds. I have successfully grown a few cycles of diesel ryder using a 18/6 light schedule the whole way through the grow, using 6500k cfl's while its vegging, then once I see flower onset ill swap to the good old hps. Your MH/HPS combo will do excellent ;-)

So to answer your question the 18/6 flower cycle treated me very well :-P Although I'm not sure if I can recommend changing your lights that drastically during flowering....maybe add an hour every couple of days haha, hopefully someone else will chime in!
