the amount of light each plant get does so if you have a 100w light with one plant it will do better then one plant in a box that is 100w with two plants

I do about 1-2 ounces per auto.

Theyre a bit more unpredictable than normal cannabis, some have more ez ryder in them, some will have more of their 'normal' cannabis strain in them. Same seeds, same garden I've had 18" tall dwarfs that yield 3/4 ounce, and 3' tall plants that gave 2 zips.

My current autos, most are over 4' tall and will do 2 zips easily; Auto Lemon Haze

yea this is interesting, it seems that each light can only support so much growth, or yield. Apparently no matter if you have 1 plant (vegged longer) or 100 plants (vegged shorter) each light can only produce so much bud. In other words each light has a limit on the amount of bud it will support. This is why I bought another light, I only had 1 150 watt hps in a 2' x 2' closet, now I have 2 150 watters side by side touching one another.

Here is where it gets cool, I had 4 plants in there, so thats 1 plant per square foot. I recently made the blunder of killing a suspected hermi that was not a hermi leaving 1 plant under the light that had 2 plants directly under it. The plant that is not sharing a light has begun to grow much larger buds than the other 2 plants.

So I theorize that I did not cut my yield by 1/4, but in fact the bud that was going to grow on my other plant, is just going to grow on this one, which will have buds twice as large as 2 plants in the same space would have grown.

most places I read that 1 gram per watt (of hps) is a very big success and that in fact 0.5 grams per watt is more like it. Also I have read that if you do everything perfect you may even get up to 1.5 grams per watt, though I'm expecting 0.5 for my first harvest.

oh and I'm not growing auto's, I'm sure the grams per watt for autos is different, but the same idea still- 1 light will only support so much bud on 1 plant or 100 plants

This is exactly what Im talking about. But now the question for my situation is - how many plants could I have in my box before I start losing yield...I'm using a 21" tall 17" deep 14" wide Stealth dresser it's pretty small I know but I've been seeing a lot of people grow in pc's so this has got to work with some lst and scrog, and Im using x6 42 watt cfl's, now I could fit 5 plants max in there but would I yield more using less plants?

I prefer to look at autos in terms of grams per day given the shorter life cycle. Using that judge of efficacy I'm pulling on average about a gram a day per plant with the average life cycle being about 60 days. I use 5 gal pots and between 130-150w of led output per plant.

Couldn't have said it better! When people open their eyes to the true logic of auto flowers, there is no turning back. People are so scared to try something new, and do it CORRECTLY.

People are doing half assed tests in their 12/12 tents, and passing judgment.

I've grown both, quality auto bud will hold up to most photo bud. It's just like LED lighting (which I also use, but have also used HID). As soon as something new hits the scene people stand in line for 3 days to drop their pants and shit on it, at least this has been my experience in most MJ boards.

I grew Feminised seed bank's Critical under about 150w of cfls for my first grow, pulled 3/4oz dry. Very happy all things considered.

Thats about what I used to get using 150ish watts of cfl and 3 gallon pots. Upgrade your pot size and lighting, it is possible to double that yield man.
