I half-broke another bud site today. I fixed it back in place and I hope it will heal.

a previously half-broken budsite didn't recover well and have been chopped.

I don't think i'll do much more training.
I'll push back shoots only if they strech and have hugh internodes.

I got the screen almost filled.
Most of the deeper row of holes are empty but not much light gets there anyway so I don't consider it as part of the screen that I need to fill.

I've watered them with 12L of water that sat for about 32 hours to allow chlorine to evaporate.
I PHed it to 6.08 and added 5ml\HESI Coco, 2ml\HESI Root Complex, 1ml\BCUZZ Bloom Stimulator and 0.1ml\PK per liter.

I think I'm watering too often.
I am not overwatering, I just waste water, nutrients and time.
I haven't gave 2 pots water on my small watering a few days ago and they showed no sign of underwatering.

I'll probably wait until wednesday before I water again checking on tuesday to see if there are any signs of underwatering.

The bud sites are developting very fast.
VERY fast.
Some are behind some, but they should finish up at around the same time.

I know the White Rhino for example packs size from the 2nd week while the Great White Shark starts to pack weight just at around the 4-5th week.

I got some tobacco aphids again.
I will spray them with some local organic pestercide that isn't that effective but should decrease the population.
I just can't do it before the lights turns off (6AM) so i'll have to catch it as it turns on, pull the light higher and spray them up.

I got some minor leaf burns from foliar feeding but nothing that bothers me at all.

I'll get some pictures at the 2nd week mark or so.

I trained the tops pretty agressively up until now.
They are streching nicely and filling up the space as expected.
However, I don't plan on training anymore. I want them to grow up around 7" toward the light and stick there.

I got some trichomes production already, which is owesome.

I made a seed order from attitude seedbank and got some exciting new genes to run.

For now I plan on keeping a Lemon Skunk mother and a Great White Shark mother.
I wish I knew any other strain that is SO lemony but with more yield.
Everyone that tried my crops liked the Lemon Skunk the best but it yields so poorly...

I got myself an Ice Kush by Advanced Seeds on the order that I know nothing about.

I wanted to run a kush for a while now.
I got a Hindu Kush by Sensi Seeds at my first grow but it sprouted and rotted. Was far from healthy.

I guess we will find out :D

I got seeds for my summer run that supposed to be extremely heat resistant.

I'll post the names when it get here, due to security issues.

For now I need to:
1. replace the carbon in my scrubber. Quick.
2. Get some mylar and finish my summer closet. (which is now my veg. closet)

Everything is going well.
Streching is slowing down greatly and hairs pop like maniacs.
There's a very nice trichome buildup. Much more than I ever got at the 2 weeks mark.

A hamsin have struck around here and its over 35°C around here. Sucks but doesn't seem to affect the growth. (yet.)

The screen seems to me pretty filled up. I really like how it turned out.

Plants have been watered today (6 days since the last watering) and I guess they could go another day or two but why.

As my tobacco aphids comunity started to recover I sprayed the plants heavily with a local organic pesticide that should lower the emount.

Beside that I'm shocked by the emount of trichomes that are popping each day.

Thanks CFL+, feel free to join the ride~

UPDATE:
Everything goes well.
The plant almost completely stopped streching so I plucked as much undergrowth as I could.
As the screen is pretty darn close to the pots most of the space under the screen isn't accessable.

Anyhow, the girls I managed to get to got their legs shaved from everything that didn't seem like it would poke through the screen.

I left the smaller gurls with their undergrowth as they seem to still be streching a bit. And they are far from accessable.

As the last few days were pretty hot (temps in the room got up to 32°C) I'll be watering today.

Tomorrow is the 3 weeks of flowering mark so I'll be posting pictures then.

3 Weeks of flowering update :eyesmoke:

Nothing much changed since yesterday.

In the pictures you can see that a good emount of pistils turned brown. That due to my pestercide spray.

It sucks because I won't know if they get pollinated but I ran thoes genetics before and got only 2 (premature) seeds in the buds that have been used.
I found a single nanner in the Great White Shark but it was in late flowering and probably caused by a major light problem I had for a week.

Lets trust them :D

The left side is evolving faster because from what I remember its majorly White Rhinos.
They evolve very quickly in the first month of flowering and then bulk up. The others have a cicle that is a bit different.

The heat have broken down a bit.
In case the room temps go over 32°C for more than a day I'll get a new revolving fan in there.
That will probably be in the last 2 weeks of flowering to prevent mold as well.

Recieved my order from the Attitude Seedbank today.

Took 11 days.

I got the TGA freebies which is nice and the Dinafem freebies as well.

Got in the pack:
Manadala Seeds 8 Miles High - 10 seeds
TGA Subcool Seeds Jilly Bean - 10 seeds
Advanced Seeds Ice Kush Feminized - 1 seed
TGA Subcool Seeds Jack The Ripper - 3 seeds
TGA Subcool Seeds The Third Dimension - 3 seeds
Dinafem Seeds Cloud #9 - 1 seed
Dinafem Seeds Sweet Deep Grapefruit - 1 seed
Dinafem Seeds Fruit Automatic - 1 seed.

Also got for free a pair of marijuana leaf eye contacts and a nice shirt.

It was far from discreet as they claimed - I asked to remove the breeder packs and they didnt.
I asked for a printed DVD case, and they gave it blank.
I asked to remove MJ related contant which they obviously didn't.
But the worst thing is that the delivery needed an ID and a signature.

I didn't had an alternative address to send to so all these stuff was much of an un-necesery risk.

Altho I got a good price, recieved a lot of freebies (half of which I have no use for) and it came real quick I would do my thinking before ordering from them again.

I must say however, the last time I've ordered seeds I did it from Pick & Mix seeds and i recieved a plain brown envelop with a clear cassete tape case with the original breeder packs in it.
One haven't had to do more than opening the envelop to realize its content. It haven't requiered signature however, it just popped in the mail - which is real nice.

I don't know how to look at thoes seedbanks anymore. They all claim to be super-discreet and in reality they are far from it.

Your gonna have a nice screen of nugs, well done:peace:
I surely hope so :D

I got a 8 Miles High seed by Mandala seeds sprouting. I'll post it in pictures.

Chose this one:

Put in mineral water:

about 6 hours later:

(the cling foil is to keep it clean, nothing more)

A day and a half later;

As for the main grow, everything goes well.
I would have wanted the tops to get closer to the light but its fine this way too.
Buds are looking more like buds and trichomes are building up QUICK.
The room reaks already.

I re-arranged some branches.

I'm getting about 20 leaves dying each week, which I consider fine, but I don't like it all that much.
I guess its from lack of light and venting benith the screen.
And SCROGgers can drop some info on that issue?

I pulled out a WR plant in about 1L of medium to relocate it and you can see (somehow) how it formed.
I like it :D

I've watered them with 5ml of HESI coco and 2ml of the bloom stimulator.
I get no defficiency going by the chart so far,and I like it :D

Things are going fine.
I got the middle WR plant in the far left row to dry out a bit and have some N deficiency.

The room have been yellowing for a while now so I gave them 3.3ml HESI coco and 1.6ml GHE Total Gro (and 2ml Alg-A-Mic, 2ml Bloom Booster and 0.25ml PK) to get 'em greener.

Everything is pretty usual, they work like a charm - just how they should.

However, I'm fairly disappointed with the bud shape using SCROG. It seems I'll be left with mainly ping-pong sized buds and not whole colas.
I thought it would fill out better.
Also, I'm not happy with the distance from the light. I would have got it to half the distance if I could.
I might re-shape the screen next week to get the buds closer. I really think yield will suffer if I won't.
Anyway, I got my arm fucked up and i can't do much this week so we'll see how it goes.

On another note, the 8MH started growing its first true node. I removed the seed shell. Somewhy I rarely get seedlings to drop the seed shell themselves.

Not sure about the way I would grow the 8MH yet. I know I would top it down to the 2nd node after it sprouts the 5th to get 4 colas. Always wanted to try that.
It should also fit just right in my schedual.

I hope they will :D
I'm almost 5 weeks into flowering and thoes are 9 weeks strains. I'm just a step into the second half of flowering.
PC case grows are crap. I use it ONLY for males as i can seperate it from the females completely. I use it JUST because I already made it.
Light leaks are annoying, dust builds up quickly, heat really is an issue, its VERY small. It is pretty stealthy however if done correctly.

The room today looks like this;

I got the fan crancked up to 3 out of 3. Its a 12" I think - the common one.
In a week or so I will replace it with a 20" industrial fan crancked up to lower the humidity as low as possible and prevent mold. Thoes were my main enemies on the last run and I really don't want to see them again.
Its gonna get windy!

I got one White Rhino showing major issues, probably with N. I suspect its from nutrient lockout. I gave it 700ml of water with 2ml of BioBizz Biogrow, which is about 3ml\L. It should remove some extra salts and add a bit of N.

And this thread is pointless without bud shots, right?

As for the 8MH:

Couldn't update yesterday as I was out so here it is today ;D

Week 5 and a day of flowering.

Buds are growing quick and filling out.

I redid some parts of the room and found that one Lemon Skunk haven't passed the screen at all and got its main stem snapped.
I fixed it in place and depotted it to a plastic cup as it won't grow any roots beyond that anyway.

I replaced the carbon scrubber and now smell should be eliminated. It became an issue by the past week.

I lowered the light 2 inches.

I replaced that household fan which an industrial fan that does a much better job. And the old fan broke.

I also cut my bonsai mothers down and repotted the 8 Miles High into a 1L pot. (I think)

I found the chart of light decayance over distance. It reminded me how bad my shape in.

I'm about 15 inches away from my 400w. (the screen is, buds are poking up about 5 inches)
The screen gets 10,000 lumens.
The buds 5 inches above gets 23,000 lumens.

I wanted to get 6" from the light and get 63,000 lumens.

I will remember that chart next time for sure.

Room from above:

I just learnt why buds SHOULD NOT BE TOUCHED unless ABSOLUTELY needed.

After removing all the buds from the container there were some emount of trichomes left on the bottom, Far from a lot as I didn't touch them much at all and haven't knocked off as much as I usually do.
I decided to check how much potency do I actually lose by that.

I hade about 28 grams of weed in there. Cheese.
I put water in it and tried to remove as much residue as I could with my finger.
What I couldn't remove on the first run got washed but I'm guessing I got half of the residue mixed in the water.

I then used the gumby method of hash extraction, took a while.

I just pressed it down and got 0.04 grams of really high quality hash.

Math:
If by the gumby I get 80% of the trichomes off the starting solution I got to work with it means I had 0.05g to work with.
I THINK I had twice the emount in the container. 0.1.
Thats 0.1g of trichomes that fell off the product.

Thats ~0.3% potency that fell in the container itself. of course some fell in the same manner in the bag it got into, some in the way, some on the scale, some on the scisors\grinder and some on the fingers.

Again, thoes buds haven't been moved as much as I usually move my buds.

I got a feeling that by reducing the movement to a minimum I can get my buds AT LEAST 2% more potent by the time it is moved for baggies and ready for consumption.

If I had buds with 14% THC and I could get them at 16% THC I think its worth it.

The part when I move my buds the most is while jarring, harvesting and weighting. I think I will find a way to make it while moving the buds less.

I got about 4 grams of finger hash from the buds on my last harvest. I had about 290 grams of dried weed. Thats 1.3% potency that could have stayed in the buds.
It haven't been lost of course, but I guess the final product did suffer.

Now I'll go and smoke some hash. Haven't smoked hash in quite a while. Around a year or so.
As I'm a cheap bastard I made quite a bit of hash compared to my grow size and used only 0.05g of charas since.
