xxx-420% First Hydro Grow

Hey, i am new to hydro but i read some material and watched some videos and came up with my own ebb n flow system for my wardrobe grow thing.... i purchased some xxx-420% seeds from the Ontario's Best seed bank and started them in rockwool and now they are in clay pellets and are ambitious to grow check it out!

How old are they?

yea, they are all about a month old, and im glad you guys this they're healthy . i started them from seed in rockwool and i just put them in the hydrocorn about 2 weeks ago. Another question is how badly will algae on the rockwool effect the plants, because i might not be able to get any Food Grade Hydroxide for a week or 2.

The algae is ugly but shouldn't hurt the plants....

From what I've seen height means nothing unless you have tight internodes. How close are the internodes on this monster?

I am 7 weeks into flower and my tallest is 24".
I would say if I had to guess that it has atleast 20-25 nodes.
Some are really close together.
I did not count them before the buds filled in.

You should consider topping them and using the topings for clones to flower for sexing.
Once topped the plants will form atleast 2 colas instead of just one.

What's so bad about 1 monster cola?

well unfortunatly those plants dided due to the deadly molassas blob.

actually I should revise my earlier stament. my tallest plant was 18" and it was 3-1/2 weeks. it was my first grow too. but the growth was amazing. also it was the big bud strain which tripled in size by the 3rd week of flowering..... I chopped them at the 4th week of flower after the deadly blob of 07' took them out

well, im glad to here everyone thinks they are doing great!! i am at about 1/3 strength nute solution right now and im flushing the resevior in the next couple days. the nodes on my babies are pretty tight! this is my 4th attempt, the first i was 16 years old and my mom flushed it, the next she allowd me to have then i went away for a 3weeks and she didnt water it once then i finally got my own place. the last time was in the same grow box but they were soil and unfortunatly all 3 turned out to be male!! so this time i purchased some seeds and they're in hydro, im hoping this'll be my first harvest here are some pics of the internodes, they are only about 8-10 inches tall.

i have some of these seeds im going to start one day. Im going to keeping an eye on this one, best of luck its looking good.

its hard to find anything on the web about this strain. i was doing web searches before and i found one site with pics of it harvested and manicured. but none growing. and i just noticed that this thread is the first result (google "xxx-420%")

can i have a mod move this thread to the grow journal section please? thanks!!

i took some more pics, i will be topping the two tallest plants tonight. i flushed the rez a couple days ago and they are looking great!! i will add more pics later!! enjoy all you xxx-420% growers, this seems to be a very stable plant... i am working on cooling my box down but it has been about 30*C since the begginning and they love it! its also at 60%rh

more pics i just put them into flowering!! i am going to add 2 40w incadescent bulbs for some red spectrum as all i have is my 105w cfl. anywho i trimmed up the bottom fan leaves and made a fancy picture too enjoy!









any relativly cheap suggestions for some red spectrum lighting for flowering are welcome thanks to all the viewers!

any ideas on how to cool my grow box down?? its about 2feet by 3feet by 5ft tall and i have an exhaust fan, a fan directed at the plants, and big aquarium air pump (pumps 5.5L of air per minute) constantly pumping air from my living room right near a door to outside that is usually open for cats sake to under the roots (for the oxygenated water when it fills up). thanks for any suggestions!

here is another update! i got 3 females out of 4!!! pretty effin sweet if you ask me sorry my camera isnt the greatest so its hard to get closups, but my buddy is going to lend me his cam so i can take some really nice pictures. i trimmed up the bottoms of the plants and started to remove fan leaves.

waaahhhoooo! i smoked a nice hash oil laced doobey and then i figured out my camera a little better and i got some really nice pics!! its only a 3.2 megapixel, i can wait to get my friends, he said its 8mp!!!! anywho check them out!!
