Thanks guys.
Screen + LST + Fimming is the way forward for me in my tight space. Might even try supercropping next time.

Here she is at 7 weeks flowering.
Trichs are starting to get milky. Leaves look like shit but doesn't seem to have affected her too much!

Better late than never, I decided to make a carbon filter as this girl stinks! Can even smell the plant before you get into my flat! not good. Lucky I have cool neighbours.

Step 1:
bought a metal screen from the DIY store (£4.50) and a pack of activated carbon from ebay (£3.00)

Step 2:
Cut the screen to size and fitted a base about 3cm from the bottom. The whole thing is held together with a few cable ties.

Step 3:
Lined the inside with a carbon sheet to stop the carbon bits from falling out. Smoked a fatty and then stiched the sheet in place with a needle and thread (with a little help from the girlfriend). Didn't have enough metal screen left to fill the base properly, but not a problem.

Step 4:
Continued to line the inside with the carbon sheet. Filled it up with the activated carbon and sealed the end with more metal screen.

It fitted nicely over the end of my cooltube which draws air in from the grow room to be pumped out at the top.

The air flow is a little restricted but the smell has gone!

Woah! She's looking mighty fine, Reiss. I'd say your yeildings will be pretty hefty. Wish I could smell. I have some White Widow, but! I want to smell THAT White Widow.
Nice one for the DIY carbon filter instructions, too. Kinda wishing I hadn't bought one a while back now. :( Ah well, I'll know in future!
Peace!

Thanks DFD.
Yup, this baby stinks, the filter is really helping.
Some of the buds at the back are beginning to lean over with the weight!

Hey Reiss just went from page 1-10 and +rep!! Great job. I have a 400w with a 190cfm inline fan pulling air through a carbon filter and I wanted to put a cooltube on the front like you did but im worried about the cooltube glass gettting too hot and exploding, due to not enough suction and the air getting too hot. So my question is how hot is your cooltube glass getting??

Hey mate, has that filter eliminated the smell 100% ??
I wouldn't say 100% but it has certainly reduced it enough to stop my neighbours smelling it! It's only when I get into the grow room (my home office) that I can smell it a little, but I do keep the cupboard (closet) doors open slighty to allow more air inside.

Thanks for the rep! the cooltube is still cool, well, warm. I can hold my hand on it indefinetly without buring so no problems there.

Here she is at 8.4 weeks flowering.
She's kind of lolly-popped herself by loosing so many fan leaves, but still happy with the buds; could be fatter. Certainly learned from my mistakes for the next grow.
