I've been running on a really low ppm diet for a while, just started seeing this on the leaves today. Any idea what it is? Kind of a blotted/muddled light patch on older growth. Guessing it's an N thing, but it doesnt look like the pictures. any thoughts?

details:

DWC
light GH trio 1m:1g:1b pre-veg (about to change)
8" root gap before rez (extra root strain im sure)
live and very active rez (smells like a mushroom farm)

It's nothing to worry about bro. Don't trip.

I had that on occasion, never did figure it out.. didn't harm the plant!
were you running sterile or live? My rez is dripping with microbes right now, inoculating pretty hard right now to fight temps. That patterning is so un-uniform i cant help but think its from something else thats alive (have been using endomycorrhizae since germination)

That would be awesome! Wish the plant had more leaves so I could sample one.... erm, and a microscope... and stuff to make slides lol

Also, my pH just hit 6 on the dot- im setting my 'max' range at 6.2, is that too high?

Ugh, I hate looking through leaf diagnosis pictures. Now i think I have everything =\

Thinking it has to be: pH issue, cal/mag issue, mites, or infection

it can be damage from you touching them or something

or some bug had a nip at it when it was younger

do you spray or dip your plants with anything to keep the bugs away ?

Normally its mites, thrips, moth or caterpillar

I spray everything once during veg at the very min and do a fog bomb on everything growing inside every 2 weeks to 2 months depends

then I clean the trays once a week and spray my shoes with bug killer

Maybe dip everything before you move it into hydro ?

I try a few things some of the systemic stuff can last 6week to a few months hence only having to do them once in veg when I`m lucky

but got lazy the other week after spraying I finally ordered a "hot shots no pest strip" for my veg area

I've got a hotshots im gonna start with I think. I did germinate/seedling the plants inside for about 10 days before moving them into the system, good chance they got it then =\ Should have dipped in advance!

Going to start with hotshots, was planning on doing a foliar feed today and tomorrow, so ill keep the hotshots until the weekend and start with the mighty wash

EDIT: the hotshots got me out of this last time

Is there any way it could be nute solution or some other spray that may have dribbled on that area??
Reading that...makes me think I have bugs!!??

Don't think so =\ Haven't sprayed anything yet on em, its the first rez and its only 2 weeks old so far. Only additional thing is the inoculant ive used on the root crowns a few times (tea + great white) which is why I worry it might just be some rogue endo-mycos or something. ive read they can be kinda hard on seedlings- but once they establish themselves and the plants get used to em they pretty much have super-roots from the very start.

im thinking it could be bugs, if the plants were older id sample a leaf and get it under a jewelers loupe. I don't trust myself to use the loupes with the leaf still on the plant lol its super disorienting, dont want to crush em on accident.

I know what you mean, I have the balance of a two year old!!lol

Just checked the grow... No bugs!!

Not sure if it was said, or if you still care, but it could be variegation (I think that's re right term anyway). To my understanding, it is caused by lower concentrations of certain pigments in certain spots, and is a rather common condition in plants. I have not read of it being detremental. I have a Trainwreck going right now in flower that has way more prominent mottling than yours, and I will get a picture of it up when my lights come on in a few hours.

Cheers
