I started a bubbleponics a week ago, did my research a month prior to doing this thought i had everthing i would need to be successful with my grow. Well it didnt work like i thought. i transplanted my plants from pea pots to water, 3 days later my ressi started stinking and my water created foam everywhere, i thought it was bacteria so i put some hygrentine peroxide in it to stop the bacteria.( heard it works good)
Then i heard i over nute so i changed water and did half of what i would normally do. still have same problem now my plants look like there dying and my system looks real bad. this is a list of what i am running, any help would be great thanks agian.

1.i have a grow hut that is 60" x 22x 36
has inlets & outlets for air

2.i have a bubbleponics by stealth hydro but made it myself same thing.

3. i run a 245/gal a min pump with (6) 3.5 pots in a 11 gal tote. also have two air bubblers one is 12" the other is 10". i run a irrigation pipe to a 6 outlet pressure-compensated to my plants.

4. 2 6" hydro fans for air circulation

5. 2 46watt cfls (150watt)
1 26 watt daylight (100 watt)
2 leds 455 lights together (56 watts)
total lighting is 456 watts 10,500 lumens

6. Nutrients i use is stealth hydro blend of Micro,Grow & bloom. pre mixed for 6 gallons

That what i have to run with. if you look at me plant they look like SH*(. Any help would be great. thanks

What's your water temperature? If it's above 75 degrees - you got trouble. Based on the condition of the roots in the picture - you have bad trouble.

MY PH WAS 6.5 A LITTLE HIGH BUT I PUT IN PH DOWN FROM STEALTH HYDRO. WATER TEMP WAS 71 AND I DID PULL THEM AND PUT THEM IN PEAT MOSS TODAY CAUSE THE BUBBLEPONICS WAS KILLING THEM I THINK. dO YOU THINK I CAN SAVE THEM OR IS IT A LOST CAUSE.

You may be able to bring them back, but if it were me....I'd probably start over, but it's up to you. By the way, I didn't ask you about pH, I asked you about PPM(parts per million)/TDS(total disovled solids). Do you have a TDS meter?

no i do not have a tds. were can i pick one up & what is the purpose for it? i am new to this so i am learning hydroponics i always grew in dirt. Everyone i talk to never said anything about a tds. thnks for your help

When growing in hydro you need to have a TDS meter to monitor the strength of nutrients in your res. They can be purcased online or at your local hydro store.

So first of all how often do you check your reservoir temps. They need to be at 65 degrees for the best amount of dissolved oxygen.

Putting them in peat without resolving the rot problem will probably kill them for sure.
I would scrub the whole system out with Hydrogen Peroxide, and start over making sure that you keep your reservior temp in line, your PH at the correct level, and your nutrients at the proper level (start low, and build from there).
Check the roots daily, and if root rot shows again add Hydrogen Peroxide to your water, and give it time to work before flushing and re-mixing your nutes.

cover that res in foil tape so the light doesn't go through and grow algea in your res. use 1/4 strength nutes at 1st then give it 1/2 and work your way up. look into getting some superthrive at home depot it helps roots grow faster.bongsmilie

so your basically saying i have root rot after 3 days? It happens that quick. water temps were 70 before i dumped it out. for h2o2 should i soak them or dip them a few times? i just started 24 seeds just incase these ones die. Would like to save it was a good strain of buds. I think i will leave them in moss after i find out how to do the flush on them. Try the bubbleponics with the new seeds im starting and get more info cause apparently i wasnt informed on some things. What ppm levels do i need, also how do you keep you water cool? what kind of water to use, i have well water. any help will be great

I have never had a problem with light in my green reserviors.

You can get the correct PPM from the nutrient manufacturer, or just mix at the low end of recomended levels to get a baseline PPM number, and adjust from there.

If your PPM goes down after a few days you can try adding a little more nutrients when you change your water the next time.

If your PPM goes up after a few days it means that the plants are not using all the nutes as fast as they use water and you can drop your PPM on the next water change.

It really is easy once you get the hang of it - keep plugging along.

strain looks similar to mine, what is it? I found it was too difficult to keep the nute solution under 75-70 degrees as it just so freakin hot this time of the year... I plan to try again in the winter, plastic totes are fine if using clfs or LEDs but I found HID light can penetrate them, so a table is a must to block the light.. ah I'm blabbing now
