the bottom half of the leaves on my girls looks like this. the leave curve downward at the tips, and inwards on the sides.

la confidential 2 weeks into flower
waterfarm style 5 gallon buckets
temps 75-80
humidity 47%
ph 5.8

nutes: ppm
house and garden "aqua flakes" 2 part , ppm 1280
AN'S big bud
root 66
hygrozyme

looks like nute burn to me. Id do a full nute flush (clearex) and res change stat!

Im no expert but your ppms are through the roof man... You getta let them bitches catch up, I agree with above lower your nutes and water schedule..Also try to avoid heat stress, if possible, Id go slow and add some h2o2.... How far away from your light was that soldier?

see how the leaves are curled down? if its upward its heat stress, kinda like a folded slice of pizza. this is clearly excessive nitrogen, very dark green, almost blue, unhappy looking droopy foliage that almost has an overwatered look to it, just beyond this point of over feeding is the dreaded nute burn, just back off on the grow ferts, want new growth to look bright green at first

yea looks like she has as much nutes as she can handle... any more would cause a burn... mine look like that too.. i didnt really see an effect in the growth of it but itll prolly take longer to flush

my thoughts exactly on the high nitrogen theory. thats what i was guessing, ive been using aqua flakes and ive been using half of what they recomend.

Im not familiar with aqua flakes, but do they give a ppm range?? And if so, are you in that range halfed? Just sounds like a high ppm to me....

Nitrogen toxicity. Cut way down on your base nute. You can keep the Big Bud levels the same because it has no N. Just cut back on anything with nitrogen in it. The leaves will never be flat again but you can at least stop the problem from getting worse. Best of luck -/\/\ared

I agree, it's definitely nitrogen toxicity. Dark green leaves that look like a ram's horn (or a canoe) is the tell tale sign. What people seem to forget when talking PPMs is that nutrient ratios are also a factor. If you give a mature plant 1000 ppms of the correct ratios of N,P,K,S,Mg, and Ca, they will probably be very healthy, however, 1000 ppms of just nitrogen or even a majority of nitrogen will burn the shit out of them. Moral of the story? Nutrient ratios matter.

aqua flakes is latest and greatest thing out here in norththern cali, but there directions suck ass. no ppm range , it says basically to use 5mls per gallon of each 2 part nute, thats 50mls!! for A 5 gallon res. i used maybe half of that, along with hygrozyme, and root 66.

well i changed the res and cleaned it completely, i only addes ph down, and hygrozyme and my ppms are already at 750! (250ppm out of the tap)

Looks like too much N to me. Give just Phed water for 3 or 4 days then ease back into your nutes. They should be fine.
