WTF Is Obama Doing With Immigration Reform?

I'm not referring to his specific immigration plan; pluses or minuses. Rather, I'm wondering why he wants to completely alienate the republicans on this issue. Because if he does, he absolutely completely guarantees that the republicans will never work with him again. Never.

But maybe that's part of his plan. That way, he gets his to eat his cake over immigration, and then Hillary can blame the republicans for the ensuing two years of gridlock and governmental contention on her way to getting elected.

I don't know. But I don't look forward to Obama essentially thumbing his nose at the republicans and spiking the ball in the end zone, only to create party hatred liked we've never seen before.

That's not going to be good for anyone.

Fuck the republicans. They have had 6 years to work with Obama they chose not to, to the point of even voting against their own ideas if Obama backed them.

Obamacare? Totally republican idea
Fact

Complete and total "fuck the republicans" is a STUPID idea. Not surprising coming from you though. Not that you're stupid, but not that you're not either...jury's still out.

Anyway, basically putting government on hold for another 2 years is a bad idea, unless it's part of his plan. Which it may be. He seems to think that anyone who dares defy him deserves to be tarred and feathered.

Obama planning on passing out an edict on his own in clear defiance of the constitutional separation of powers, where he usurps this authority from the legislature.

Democrats cry foul and racism when people say he is acting like a dictator.

ummmmmmm:

The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.

-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, quoted in National Journal, November 4, 2010

Their story line is that there must be some villain out there who’s keeping this administration from succeeding.

-McConnell, appearing on CNN's "State of the Union," October 23, 2011

I wasn't that shocked by McConnell's original statement. Heck, I even appreciated the candor. But if you're going to make the president's failure your top goal -- and if you're going to brag about it -- you really can't get upset when the president blames you for it.

things the republicans once believed in that they abandoned once obama did too:

*obamacare
*cap and trade
*infrastructure repair
*payroll tax cut
*health care for 9/11 first responders

& so much more.

for anyone to try to pin the divisiveness on obama is literally a retarded person with an IQ below 70. and racist too.

you guys are totally fucking correct, out of spite we need Obama to do what he wants while completely ignoring the public opinion on any type of blanket amnesty. Instead of lying and deceiving the *dumbass voters* that agree with his policies, just fucking rail-road unpopular ideas with zero fucks given. We can't wait to have another bible thumping republican in office do to liberal overreach.

Good (morning) evening Buck.

Party hatred has been around ever since FDR started stealing republicans' money and giving it to democrats.

There's not a single racist here, as far as I can tell.

And that looks like that's what he's going to do.

And it will be a mistake.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see a bunch of kids get deported when this country has been the only home they've ever known. They deserve better than that, and our country is better than that.

But to just do it by executive order? There must be a better way.

exit polls from the 2014 election shows 57% support for making them legal, even during a heavy republican turnout.

what were you saying about public opinion, nonthinkist?

dumbass.
You're actually right Buck that most people (even republicans, and even me) don't want to throw a bunch of already-adjusted kids out of the country.

But don't you think Obama could accomplish that without alienating both houses of Congress?

then why are red states sucking up the most welfare while blue states are the biggest net contributors?

loser.
I guess cause times have changed, friend. I don't care who is taking my money. I don't like them. Period. Demo or repub...

And maybe more repubs are on the dole today than demos...for all I know.
