Wouldn't order from Attitude ever again honestly.

Ordered some beans off attitude... took about 2 weeks to arrive, no big deal.

First time the seeds came confiscated, no big deal.

2nd time the package came opened and searched through but the beans were in there still.

4/5 of my Moby Dick wouldn't germ. Used normal germ process in between paper towels, has had a great success rate with other beans.
the 1/5 Moby Dick that did germ grew to about 1 inch and fizzled out, meanwhile the other plant (the freebie critical jack herer) is thriving in the same conditions as the moby dick.. bad genetics im guessing.

no bueno. I'd go with herbies in the future

I love arjan.

Seeds get confiscated man. Just the risk we take when we order illegal materials from another country. It is no fault of attitude, in fact, they are usually good about sending out replacements or working something out.

Second, your germination issues are no fault of Attitude either. They are just a reseller. You need to take that up with Dinafem. Attitude generally keeps very fresh stock. Especially with popular strains from popular breeders.

I'm not trying to sound like an attitude cheerleader, but I've placed at LEAST 20 orders from them over the past 4-5 years and never had one siezed, and can count on one hand the amount of seeds that didn't crack. It's either bad technique on your part, bad seeds on Dinafem's end, or just plain old bad luck.

Edit: forgot GHS had a Moby Dick strain. If that's the case, there is your answer right there.

Sorry for your troubles man. I've lost over $200 of beans in the past month to some bad soil. I feel your pain, but it's easy to blame the breeder or the bank when a majority of the time we only have ourselves to blame.

So they replaced your first order entirely then packaged the replacement so well it got checked and passed on, and youre upset?

Impressive.

Edit: I have been 3/3 with attitude over the years, its been awhile though.

Started by a STRANGER....yet again.

The ATTITUDE IS BAD threads always seem to be started by strangers to the forum....??

They know enough about growing to order seeds (most newbies use bagseed or cuttings off friends, to first try growing).
They know enough to post on RIU....
But it's one of their FIRST TWENTY POST???

This pattern repeats itself.
Almost as if all the ATTITUDE IS BAD threads are created by one of two people using several RIU identities....

A pretty low thing to do.
I know that if I had info that I thought would benefit the entire RIU membership, I'd have the courae of my convictions to do it under my usual ID.
(A bit like what I'm doing now, by strongly implying that this thread - and the OP - are being disingenuous, insincere, dishonest and manipulative).

Have a Great Day!

never said I was upset, I was just upset with the germ success rate and the overall genetics of the Moby Dick. That's my first time trying attitude, not impressed

But they just sell the seeds its your job to grow them, medman sent me a shitload of freebies when i ordered from him some dampened off due to me using too moist of peat plugs( usually use coco plugs). I didnt go complaining to thadious just told him i messed up and they didnt survive.
Im just going to say if you got your beans they did their part, i know it sucks you lost plants and money but we all do at one point. Get back on the horse brother, we take this chance wherever we order from.

While I agree with you, for the most part. You have to understand that people are way more likely to have the urge to actually post something negative than positive. So it's probably true that he had them confiscated and they might not have grown the way he wanted them to. But his seeds got there. That is what I am. Concerned with. There are lots of variables for the growing process that could have been any ones fault. I have a very low post count, but I feel I have a few little things to contribute. But just take all the bashings with a grain of salt, do your own research and make your own best call!

Safe and Happy new year to everyone!

Yeah, over the years I counted the orders I made with Attitude....50 to be exact. First few times, I used the guarantee. The remaining 46 orders I checked "No Guarantee" box. The last seed order I made was in late November (4 Pic & Mix)....the package has been sitting in ICS (Customs) since 7Dec.

I emailed telling them they need to find a better system of STEALTH mailing products as I've read here and other forum sites, orders out the wazoo have been confiscated bad service, orders incomplete.

Received a semi-nasty reply from "Laurie/Laura" saying I did not use "GUARANTEED" method. I've even cut/pasted the USPS tracking info. Even though I was a loyal customer for YEARS, they would not do anything for me.

So good riddance ATTITUDE! There are other places that have a better track record. Noticed in last 2 years, service declined.

I had a similar germ problem, but after a few carefully worded emails to Attitude and the breeder, I had replacements promptly.

Thanks!

One post from you, and it's coincidentally an anti-Attitude post.

Gee, that never happens on this website !

And btw - it's called 'guaranteed' for a reason, and the reason is not to make good because you chose not to spend the extra $13. The beans were sent- that was their only obligation to you.

lol, to reiterate, attitude just sells the seeds, it's not their fault if they don't pop.

I got an order on 12/26 first time thru(try the guarantee w/o merch, seems to work lately). I'm saving the 20 reg seeds I got for now and 3 nights ago popped the 5 free fem seeds they included. All 5 are sprouted now. Plus two bag seeds I had both just popped last night.

I've known growers that use the paper towel, or soak 24hr in water, or scratch with a match box, etc. However, after seeing 40 seeds have a 95% germ rate in a jumpstart dome, that's what I've decided to use for my beans. Just add water and plant em in the peat, set it and forget it. ;-)

Well this "stranger" to the forums has had nothing but great luck with Attitude. The friendly lady who handled my last order, that was confiscated, was VERY quick to respond and resent the order that same day. No waiting, no muss, no fuss! Ok those beans showed up and the only ones that survived were the freebies.. gah!!! She had me snap a picture of the seed bag that was crushed and boom resent yet again. Got my beans after the final resend with no issues. Attitude went above and beyond by sending that second reship in my opinion. Next summer I'm taking a trip over their way and plan to pop into their shop to shake some hands :) Good people.
