like right now? tonight? would you?

they are claiming it a "spare the air" day in the bay area. temps will be below freezing tonight. they ask that we don't burn our fireplaces "NO MATTER HOW COLD IT GET'S". so i ask....... would you die to save this planet?

there are people that rely solely on fireplaces. people out in the river area. the farm lands. it gets freakin' cold. what are we to do?

hell no. there are way too many people fucking it up. its like voting. you want to believe, but in truth you just dont make a difference in the world no matter what you do. but you can change some peoples opinions. so thats all i think about.

I believe in saving the planet.... so that we may live on. So dying to save it really defeats the piont in my book.

Pah, fire places are pretty obsolete. If they really wanted to make a difference, they could make those 24hour Wal-marts put up solar panels to run their blindingly bright don't-steal-shit-we'll-see-you lights. If the government really, really wanted things to change they could mandate that all national chains, such as McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Target, and StarBucks rely solely on solar panels.
They can afford it, and it'll be a hell of a lot more effective than asking the few people who still burn fireplaces, not to.
And nobody dies of cold.

i think burning wood to keep warm is a minor culprit to what we are doing to the planet.

i think Garden knowm asked the right question .....how do we live to save the planet.
