It is clear and evident to me that perpetual daily consumption of delta9-tetrahydracannabinol poses no harm to neurological health or essential brain functionality. There is however, danger in the inhalation of combusted plant material, particularly due to the carcinogenic properties of commonly associated paraphernalia such as processed tobacco blunt wraps, which contain substances not occurring in nature. Obvious solutions include ingestion as opposed to inhalation, vaporization in place of combustion, or intensive water filtration.

What I find interesting is that smoking just weed (incl. in papers - joints not blunts) has had no increased cancer risk associated with it. The hazards of smoking vegetation seem to be balanced by cannabinoids' cytoprotective effects. cn

Yes, but I am not sure it is entirely free of lung damage associated with heated smoke inhalation... I do recall some serious phlegm/cough spells after repeated joint smoking.

perhaps it's just the paper. i must have smoked pounds of paper between all the joints and ciggs i've smoked. some paper is particularly harsh. maybe it's the sugar in the glue. papers in themselves are pretty unhealthy things to be smoking. blunt wraps are even worse, with the added factor of nicotine being woven into the habit.

there is also the fact that a joint or cigarette is inhaled differently than a pipe. it hits different parts of my mouth and throat through a jay than with a pipe/bong, and at a different concentration.

i entirely agree that smoking weed au naturale is the healthiest option if you're going to combust it. my vote for healthiest combustion method is through a water bong. it's such an effective delivery system that i end up smoking less herb.
