im not reading this thread or even op..
but theoretically its unlikely youll fail. hash oil or "wax" doesnt cross through said membranes very well it has a logp of ~7 vs an optimal ~2.5 (its too non polar). but topicals properly prepared can cause a fail, of course it takes alot. undecarbed hash will migrate easier through skin secretions but is a fairly large compound with low flux rates so even still..,.

even in properly prepared transdermal patches or just a topical rub
Its hard to get enough cannabinoidsin the matrix and release/absorb quick enough. It takes roughly 40x the amount to have the same concentration levels in the blood as smoking. And being the different route of administration, consider the diffrences in logp among the cannabinoids, cbd and cbn flux rates are higher-10 fold

You could pass a drug test while wearing a transdermal patch already on the market

on some cool shit, if i liked your post..thats actually a good point. using rubbing alcohol etc wouldve allowed more to absorb..

however a 50ng cutoff aint shit. i take one monthly, usually stop smoking 2 days prior ;)

smoking vaping .....it passes tho the lungs
eating it ...it has to have a fatty oil to attach too so body absorbs it
touching it nothing happens with it pure oil ......if it was mixed onto a hand cream (that has the other oils allowing to be absorbed tho skin)

if u want to throw them for a loop ask are they looking for Cannabinoids or THC9 .........CBDs are cannabinoids just like THC but they are legal so u can get CBD pills or tinctures and be 100% complaint
THC is the illegal part and that leaving body or in blood is THC9 ....the test for it cost more so they look for the simple cannabinoids test as it is cheaper

so if u do test dirty u can ask that and legally it buys u a retest looking for THC9 not just a dip stick but a actual lab test

If it gets absorbed through the skin--which it can, as they make balms from cannabis as well--yes, it can effect you. I dunno how much it would take, though, or the absorption rate.
