Would This Work- Smell De-odourizer?

Ok, My main problem I need to fix before I start my first grow is smell, I got a fan, and taped a paper towel soaked with Pet deoderizer onto the fan. Then ontop of that I taped on a small shamwow, And then a bigger yellow one ontop of that to encase the whole fan. So the air it blows out - Doesnt make a sound, And would smell like febreeze. Would this work?
