Would this be possible? (n00b)

This is my first grow so i don't really know what i'm doing, but...

My plants are almost a foot tall now and i'm about to throw them into 12/12 after another inch or 2.

Would it be possible to top it and use what i cut off as a clone? Are they even big enough to take a clone or two off of? Any help would be appreciated.

clones root faster if taken from the lowest side branches, just plan on waiting a while if ya top her.
Why not bend the top down to the side and just clone some lower branches?

yeah those plants look good. Try fimming the top to get more top cola's

dont know if you are aware but if you arn't topping your plants will decrease the potency of the colas

People do say that it produces more slighty less potent colas.

firstly... how can you prove this?? secondly, dont spread these rumors around lol, watch now im going to hear about this in other threads about topping. Topping does not increase potency of buds.

Also chicken nugget, your plants look really good man, and you can deffently clone them. Also you arent cutting your leafs are you? It looks like you are lol, and if thats true then I ask why?

Nugget, after looking at pictures again, you deffently are cutting the edges of your leafs lol. It also appears that you are cutting the ones that appear to have coloring defects in them, if this is the case, cutting the color defects off will not help the plant lol.

Keeping the defects on the plant will help us tell you why the plant is showing you the coloring, and we can help make your plant better = )

Thanks. I looked up fimming in the growfaq. Is it necessary to prune the top before fimming? OR should i just snip the very top where the new leaves come out.

A few leaves were just beat to hell. My cat got to them and they were yellowing around the chewed parts so i snipped them. I wanted to make sure i could be able to tell if my plant was yellowing due to nitrogen deficiency so i cut off the damaged leaves so i wouldn't get confused. Kinda stupid, i know.

It's a skunk strain from sensi. I ended up making a day stop to amsterdam this past summer and i just picked up a seed pack for the hell of it thinking i would experiment.

I don't plan on using either as a mother(if they do turn out to be female), i just want to get at least a clone or two off each before i throw them into flower so i wouldn't have to start from seed again. Where would it be best to take a clone off of without effecting yield too much?

just trim 80% of the new growth on them stem. You can do it for side branches to. If its your first time and dont have alot of females, try it with a male to get a feel for it.
