Veteran Guelph Police Officer PC McArthur elbows restrained 17 year old in mental distress, in hospital safe room. The assault resulted in a 2 inch laceration under the patients left eye, which required sutures. PC McArthur's defense claim he assaulted the youth due to PTSD

This really should be simple. Either he used excessive force and is guilty of assaulting an already restrained individual or he can't be criminally held responsible for his actions due a mental condition meaning he needs to be remitted to a psychiatric facility until further notice and permanently removed from his position in law enforcement.

We all have bad days at work...and when those bad days involve assaulting people, we tend to lose our jobs and be held criminally responsible.

It's pretty obvious that this is not an isolated incident. These pigs have made a habit of abusing citizens. The other pigs are Just as guilty. At the very least they should have been charged foe dereliction of duty and abuse of authority. The fact that they weren't tells me that the force is trying to sweep this under the table.

The fact that the other two cops didn’t immediately hand cuff the gorilla makes them accomplices imo and it’s sad that it took hospital staff witnesses to get this guy charged is wrong. They say not all cops are bad cops but shit like this helps solidify the fact that the only justice in the world seems to be when videocameras are rolling.

He claims he only elbowed the kid because he kneed him first. Then after learning there was video the lawyer added the ptsd claim.
And the cut under his eye happened when he banged his face on the handrail the 250lb elbow was unrelated.
