Worst Allergies of my life after harvest!

I harvested last Monday and am still feeling the affects of my allergies significantly. This has probably been one of the worst weeks of my life. And when I say we harvested, I basically mean we were wrestling these plants for damn near 4 hours. Bear hugging, choke holds, buds leaning against our faces, some legit UFC payperview stuff. I'm curious if anyone has had anything similar like this happen to them. I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose in a week and I'm beyond over it. From this point on gloves and mask are a must come harvest time. I even sent my dog to my parents because I didn't think it could be my plants that are making me feel like this. After process of elimination, it was the plants. LMK If you have ever encountered anything similar to this and if masking up and gloves before harvesting/trimming is good enough.

I have the same issue. Usually when I start processing my outdoor in october and have it drying. Usually I start alternating a couple different allergy meds about 2 weeks before chop and that helps a bit.
Doesn't seem to happen with my indoor.

Do you have allergies to other pollen (grass/tree/flower)? Maybe washing the bud could help.

Take some allergy pills. My buddy's gf used to get hives when we would trim. I always thought she was just overreacting and the hives were because she was so working herself up being afraid of all the weed drying in their place. Turns out she wasn't lying lol. It's a thing

I'm trying to figure out why you're having such an issue chopping a plant down... Cut it at the base and hang it upside down. Done. If you are putting UFC moves on your plants to get them done you are doing it right. Try a saw instead.

You shouldn't be ingesting any pollen unless you grew out males.

Glad you figured out the issue though. Looks like long sleeves, gloves, and a mask are in your future for harvesting.

Back in the guerilla days I'd sneeze all day for a month straight . My partners named me Sneezy . Doesn't do it to me now though . I just lived with it then but it sucked .

Was this your first harvest? You should adapt to it. I used to get itchy arms from certain strains when I harvested the plants. Now I don't. Took a year or so.
