Worried about bud size into week 6

Hey guys I'm really worried that the plants aren't going to yeild much... There are plenty of thumb size nugs but nothing is bursting... I've used 'bio bud' but I'm thinking of switching to 'Bloombastic' for last few weeks... Should I change light cycle from 12/12 to a longer dark period to increase bud size? Any ideas?

you generally gain the most weight in the last two weeks. keep doing what you're doing and be patient.

patience is the most important tool in the pot grower's tool box...

Thanks man I will do, one plant seems to have a big cola... All the rest just don't seem to be able to keep up

Looks like weed

so maybe explain your set up, strains, pot sizes and end yield, how much space you use and how much time you spend each week working on it

then some of us may get an idea of if your doing ok or could get more yield

are you feeding extra K ? not just one bottle but are you adding something with extra potassium most of the time people don`t pump the K right and get less but you know they get more "honest" buds, what ever that means, sounds like telling a plant its the last winner to me

Frosty as hell but its week 6 just be patient, if anything maybe its just a lower yielding strain?

Sorry guys I'm a noob to the forum lol. It's 4 plant triple cheese under a boosted 600w light. In a hydro set up... They got root rot in early flower but managed to get some out, clean roots and save some. I over nuted them about two weeks ago so have had to keep a close eye on them. I've literally spent two hours today chopping away to get an even light penitrattion... To be fair they have a trim every couple of days.

I haven't boosted potassium... But a friend did suggest Bloombastic

Root rot will always cost you

find a nice stable feed you like, go 500pp to 1000ppm (strain depending) after week 4 start adding 200ppm to 800ppm of potassium sulphate

obviously use whatever products suit you to stop the rot next time, go bennies or sterile up to you, but potassium sulphate is the main thing I`d add once I`d found a good all round bloom feed

after that you can try spraying or feeding triacontanol but get your hydro rot free then start adding some K 1st

I feed just sugar or potassium sulphate for 1 to 4 weeks before cutting, some people find normal feeding or just water works better, I like my way.

And by trimming I mean a few leaves... Nothing major... Stopped around week 3 of flower. Was just because light couldn't penitrate...

I might go grab some sulphate and flush out nutes then and see if they perk up. Next time I will defo bear in mind your advice. Just had so many problems this time around. Surprised they made it at all to be fair

I like pirahna and voodoo juice. I have been plagued with root rot in the past but I used a couple weeks feeding with each of them and smooth sailing so far. Started with voodoo.

I hear ya man hydro is a long hard road. Make sure ph is good it prevents a lot of problems.

Yeh I will definitely be using voodoo next time... Been a boiling summer so hasn't helped me at all to be fair... Got to over 42 degrees in tent one day... Safe to say I invested in an air con unit.

I have a lot of leaf damage late in flower. Just take the dead ones.

Looks like some burnt tips and darker leaves, maybe a flush? Are you still affected by rot?

It really doesnt look like much damage though... You should see mine lol.

I've chopped off all major damage today... I halved the nutrients this week and that seems to have stopped the leaves dying... Over nuting was not on my list of things to do... Once they have sucked up all of this feed I might just use Bloombastic and ph to get them a bit more balanced... Thing is I've read they have to think they are dying to produce bigger buds but your treading a fine line by over stressing them I suppose
