Worm farms and banana peels

Just wondering if I feed my worms banana peels , does this mean that the worm castings will have a higher k value and be better for flowering or are all worm castings of equal npk , also if I compost certain things like kelp and banana peels does this mean the npk value of the compost will be similar to what has been composted?

Banana peels would add potassium to the worm castings, and no all worm castings do not have the same NPK values.....but you are over thinking this.

In conventional farming, the NPK numbers are a help because no matter what the plant needs, the nutrients fed will be forced upon the plant as the salts are dissolved. Organics are different.

In organics, we don't feed the plant - we feed the soil. The plant can take what it needs much more easily in a natural set up. Feed your worms a diverse array of food scraps and they will be wonderful - veg or bloom.

Banana peels increase potassium. Alfalfa is a high nitrogen source. Don't feed your worms only one thing.....the nutrient profile would be incomplete.

If you precompost with a bokashi bucket or even just bury the food - flies are not an issue and I have never had ants in my worm bin. But I do add soil from time to time and my soil has nematodes

They LOVE banana peels or whole or however. Just take the little stickers off them.LOL

Also, any sort of melon rind. Alfalfa is good, but go easy, it does get hot
