So, I am starting a journal for my first grow. I got my medical card back in Feb but didn't really have the money to get a grow started until now. It is a 400w MH/HPs lighting system in a closet 4x5x6.5 with 4 plants.
I germinated a good amount of seeds most of them being from bagseed a friends mom gave to me. She gave them to me when she moved to Washington from Tennessee, said her husband who had cancer grow before he died and it was good shit. I only ended up keeping a total of 2 of those Randoms and i have 1 Space Queen clone and 1 Blueberry Widow also from bagseed.

The lights are on an 18/6 timer since the seeds were planted and i am using an Ac unit from the bedroom to cool the bedroom/closet. Before i put the Ac in the bedroom the temps in my grow room were pushing 90-95F and I had blew my budget on buying lights and cheap ass soil. After placing the Ac in the bedroom, my grow room with 1 fan pointing upward now sits at 73-81 depending on how hot it is outside. I live in a manufactured home and there are no trees around to shade my home so hot days it can be like an oven in the grow room.

They are now just over a month from being planted in soil. I started with Black Gold brand soil, after about 2 weeks they got some Fungus gnats in the soil/grow room. After trying for a week using dish soap and water I burned 1 of my plants by making a dumb mistake of spraying the soap water combo during lights on.. I transplanted into FFOF soil mixed with Mexican bat guano and got some Neem Oil and Aphid/Gnat sticks. I have only seen 1 gnat since the transplant and killed the little F*cker. Plants are doing great now even the one that was burned has recovered for the most part.

The back left plant in the Pictures is the Space Queen clone. Front left is Blueberry Widow. The two plants on the right are the bagseed plants from Tennessee. :leaf:IMAG0209.jpgIMAG0203.jpgIMAG0208.jpg

It's a bit warmer in the grow room today with high temps of 88F. Humidity is pretty low today, like 20% low.. Going to look around the house to see if i have something to fix that.

The space queen clone got it's first shot of nutes today. Verde, Silica Blast, and Cal Mag all at Half recommended amounts. This is the first watering with nutes since it came home from the dispensary. The bigger Tennessee Random was also watered today with full amounts (second round of liquid nutes) of the same 3. Tho i am kind of worried, i didn't think that i was going to be able to buy nutes when i started this grow so i went cheap and got some SoilTabs from Nirvana seed shop. Well i was planing on taking them out when i did the transplant since i came up on lots of Free Nutes, at least $200 worth!!! But!! I forgot so they're still in the soil. The space queen clone does not however have the SoilTabs but the other 3 do.

I also got a humidifier for the grow room and it's working great today it's at 50% and 73-75F so far. All seems well tho as far as the plants go. I will be posting pictures new pictures prolly some time next week.

The second random that was Fim'd and the Blueberry Widow were watered today with half shots of the Verde, Cal Mag, and Silica Blast. The plants are looking good.
I broke down and cut the burned fan leaves off from the plant that was FIM'd. They were pretty bad and it needed to be done. The next nute cycle the Space Queen will be getting Full shots of those 3 nutes. Temps and humidity are both great since i added the humidifier and the Ac unit. I still plan on adding pics on Monday or Tuesday. Any comments or input would be welcomed.

lookin nice man... the white bucket might let some light through to the roots. my friend grew outside in a white bucket and it really messed his plant up. i went with a 400w as well for my first im almost done with my grow hopfully harvesting in a week or so.

The plant in the white bucket is no longer in my garden. When I got the gnats in the garden i did a transplant into new soil and did not have enough for that pot so i got rid of it to keep the baby gnats from laying any extra eggs.

So they have been moved around a little bit. Big Bertha as I call her is massive. I needed to raise the lights which resulted in the other plants being far away from the light. I took a few milk crates and set the other 3 plants on em and it's about even in height now. It's been awhile since i watered Berta and the Queen(last Mon). Water is still a bit moist on the first two inches so I plant on waiting another day or so in the meantime they got a Neem spray last night.

IMAG0247.jpgIMAG0246.jpgIMAG0245.jpgUpdate:
So I took all but the clone off of the milk crates. They were starting to get big fast since I moved them closer but I don't wanna have to move the light up just yet.
I also went out and got a roll of Mylar and did up the bottom half of the closet including the floor. Blueberry Widow and the FIM'd plant got watered today

Big Bertha is gone, thought her to be a male plant. As for the others (3 left) they are all female, 2 from seed and one clone. The fim'd plant showed her female hairs about a week or so ago and the Bluberry Widows hairs popped up overnight last night. I'm going to be flipping them over to flower in the next week or so after flushing them out.
I'm not going to post anymore pics until I see some bud sites forming so until then {=

Hey Doc, I got a question for you. My next payday i plan on buying a 420scope (x30-x100 led lit scope) and some wacky bags for making hash come harvest time. My roommate/guy on the couch says i should trim my leaves after They hang dry for 3 days or so. I see that alot of people on the net that trim before they hang dry. Since i plan on making hash is there a way i should go about triming and drying?

Alrighty! It's time for another update!

The girls are on day 4 of flower and no changes really, but I did start bloom nutes at half and or quarter shots. I only watered 2/3 plants, the 3 Space Queen will get same nutes tomorrow.
and now time for pics: all taken within the last week up till today:

What i do is remove all the fan leaves and everything that has no crystals on it, then i'll dry it out upside down for nearly a week sometimes more (the longer the better to remove cholorphyl) then i trim the sugar leaves when its dried and bag all my good trim and little buds to make hash or whatever, butter sometimes. :) I find it easier taht way so i dobnt have to dry the trim afterwards i just cut it off and bag it. I'd like to hear some more info about that if its better to trim leaves before or after its dried, but thats how i've always done it so far.}

So i went to the Hydro store yesterday to snag some PH down as my tap water comes out at high 7-8ish, my ph tester is a pretty basic one, green at the top with two metal prongs (the hydro shop was sold out when i bought it and Lowes only had one kind, it's very basic..) but anyways my water is testing out about 8ish so i went out to get the Ph down and the guy at the store stopped me from buying general hydroponics basic Ph down. told me to go with some other stuff, when i told him i was on a budget he pointed me out to Diamond nectar. Told me it would do what I want it too.....does it lower Ph? It says its made of humic acid and i need to go down toward the acidic side of the Ph scale but cant find much info on it?!?!

Bit of a blow up today in the garden. It started with me not adding in some nutes to the water, followed by me trying to bend the top part of my blueberry widow. It resulted in the top part of the plant snapping....not a good day...tho at least now they are all the same height..?? bleh...

On a brighter side of things flowering stage is going well so far. I'll have some pics in a few days things have been busy around the house.
