True or false...

It has become much harder to support yourself and a family since the implementation of social welfare programs.
Social safety net programs originated with the New Deal, so, since the 1930s

It has become much harder to support yourself and a family beginning ~1970, meaning there was 40 years of economic growth under New Deal policy. Supply side economic policy, globalization, immigration, wage stagnation and crony-capitalism have all contributed to making it harder to support yourself and a family, not social safety net programs. They've actually helped contribute to the economic growth seen throughout lower income communities. When people are provided the means to grow, studies show they pay back what they were given tenfold in economic returns. When people are given the opportunity to become productive, taxpaying members of society, they take it. When people are kept at the bottom of the social spectrum their entire lives, they bleed the system of resources through incarceration, abuse programs or rehab, all of which have extremely high recidivism rates because our society condemns people that otherwise could have been rehabilitated and creates problems that otherwise could have been prevented.

True, people get handouts they can afford to pay damn near $5 a pound for ground beef. Without hand outs the price of ground beef would be affordable. I actually seen a cop use food stamps because of raising the price not only can you not feed your family on minimum wage a fucking cop can't even afford to feed his family.

Loans as well have jacked up the price of homes and cars these should be affordable things but not when you need to be enslaved to the bankers to own a home or decent car.

Credit and food stamps have got to go the prices will drop because they still need to sell their shit same goes with healthcare.

To expand..

The privatization of services corrupts the system as well..those damn rulez..talk about bleeding the system.

Then you have the @Uncle Ben's of the world who think rulez apply to everyone but him ie; rainwater catch thread and yet can be critical of a family that utilizes a safety net program to which they're entitled.

So many like @ThickStemz weren't even born until after Reagan don't know that there was a time when you COULD live on ONE minimum wage job..corporate America convinced all that getting ahead meant exhorbitant hours NOT wages that keep up with the economy.

To spend more you need to work more, was the recipe for this disaster combined with wealthy shifting their tax burden.

None of us are entitled to the fruit of another persons labor without their explicit individual consent, UNLESS, they are our slave.

Charity is a good thing. Forcible transfer of another persons labor is not, UNLESS, you like slavery.

Do you grow all your own food? All of our staples are subsidized.

How did hamburger get to be $5/lb and yet no wage increases?

There are only so many hours in a day. Working 80 hours per week just to make ends meet is abnormal and invented by the oligarchy.

I would tell you, but your flimsy grasp of economics and the unintended consequences of an unfree market would prevent you from comprehending. Please continue stumbling around in the dark.
