soil and/or also the HPS bulb on babies? cmon now. Alot of people have lost alot of money going too big too fast, back to basics with a t5 to get a few leaf sets on those
Likely to be a problem with lamps HPS 2 x 150w (too much light for young plants).Any comments?

but hey, everyone learns there own way. I would just be kicking myself in the ass if i lost the moneys worth of 200 seeds.

TO FIX YOUR PROBLEM OP

Measure how long your pots go so you can get yourself 2ft,3ft,4ft and so on for t5 bulbs, i would probably get a bulb for every 2 rows you have. Get them about 1inch away from the leaves. Get your veg nutes and use about 25% of called amount but dont drown the fuckers. Your next step is to not listen to the people knocking you about your soil. Thats probly the least of your worries. You can transplant at any time and the root mass wont even be effected by the time u get to a 2-3-5 gal pot THEN YOU USE YOUR HPS. Good Day.

300 watts over 200 seedlings I doubt is doing harm lol.. If they're high enough. Look new growth is slightly yellow stop shitting your pants just watch them and regulate the water etc

I took out the HPS lamps 2x150w and put 5xT5 lamps.Within 24 hours the plants grew slightly but is still growing!!!:clap:Leaves yellowing has stopped or at least so it seems.Any comments?
Yeah, I got a comment smart guy... Yeah, some of us MAY have been off on our assessment (the jury is still out, and I don't believe 300 watts is enough to harm unless you had them 2" above), but that's the way it goes when trying to fix something over the internet.
My question to you is: How come you didn't know the correct light and light distance if you have been growing 4 years? Why don't you fess up that you just started growing, there's no shame in it, we were all new at one time.

i was not off on my assessment. its the damn cactus soil. lol, cacti barely get soaked so that soil is designed to "drown" the roots. he is suffocating his seedlings.

Its not the "300 Watts" Einstein, its the HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE. Go put a t5 1-2inch from your canopy then put a HID 1-2inch from your canopy, tell me how that works out for you. Some people just seem to know everything when after all they know nothing at all.

Yes 4years of experience this should be something you know before you went out and bought your first clones/seeds.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I have used HID lighting throughout the whole grow, from seed to harvest, with great success. It's how I started out when I had a small budget. T5's weren't even around and I didn't have the cash to buy other fluorescents, so I bought a 600 watt HPS and ran my cycles all the way through with the same light, I didn't even have a MH bulb for veg. As long as you keep a safe distance with the light, an HID light will grow cannabis just fine.
Not trying to beat you up, but I caution you to not call other people out and make smart remarks, when in fact, it is you who do not know exactly what you are talking about. Of course you can't put an HID 2" from the canopy, but I didn't hear anyone claiming to have done it, including the moron OP. WeedKillsBrainCells was only making the case that 2 150W HPS's over 200 plants would most likely not cause the OP's problem. It's pure physics. The space needed to have 200 seedlings would require the light to be a considerable distance from the plants in order to make a footprint big enough to cover the entire area.
I believe the problem is his soil, he's using a cactus soil that is not suited to MJ. Myself and others have told the OP this, but he doesn't listen, claims to have years of experience, yet he does not know what kind of soil to use or how to take care of seedlings.
Again, not trying to start a fight, just some constructive criticism, you do what you want with it.
Peace,

Wow. Well godsend was nice about your sheer idiocy but me, not so much. If you took your head out your ass you wouldve seen my post said 'IF THEY'RE HIGH ENOUGH' which using a bit of logic means I know that TOO LOW WILL CAUSE DAMAGE. Next time you try to lord over someone id re read the post you arrogant cunt.
