Winterizing Rosin?

Read it didnt try it, they say ethanol on plant means its too much clorophyl, that butane is not as much clorophyl, hence you use alcohol after initial butane blast
If you do it quick rinse with super cold etoh you shouldn’t pick up to much chlorophyll in the first place...iv gotten very nice amber sap from etoh that could compare to any butane extract

Nope this is very true. I do QWISO washes with all my trim, and small buds. If you freeze the alcohol and material for at least 24 hours first, and keep it all cold you won't pull hardly any chlorophyl on the first wash. You wash for 30-40 seconds and pour out the alcohol through a filter. Then do your next wash with fresh cold alcohol before your material starts to warm up.

Just last week I made a batch that was a beautiful light amber shatter. The first is AAA the second wash is a very dabbable B grade, and the C grade is best for edibles since by that point the material has been soaking in alcohol for multiple minutes which has pulled a fair bit of chlorophyl. Each successive wash you will get more. Because of that I usually only do 3 washes.

20180907_132622.jpg I'm about to bang out another 10 gallon 200 proof ethanol wash on 15lbs of trim and flower. My sop will be in place. Winterizing is NOT one of those steps. Cryo cold ethanol is THE only way to etoh wash w/o needing to winterize.

Why do ppl have to argue with those who know how to do the extractions with great results.

A table top alcohol distiller, NOT o e made for water distillation can also be used. Those are found on Ebay or the like for under 140.00

You can use fancy equipment...or just put some dry ice in your etoh and make a nice ethanol chronic ice tea ;)...I know it’s fun to play Walter white, believe me I did it and had lots of fun, but sometimes there is a easy rout that’s almost just as efficient
