try adding a few capfuls of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the waterings. (you can find 3% hp at every single grocery store in the world I'd imagine) It kills larve in the soil...and it gives a slight oxygen boost to the roots...a true win/win.

try Neem oil and spray the plant and topsoil thouroughly, it hasn't let me down yet! u can find it at most stores that carry garden supplies, but try your local plant nursery first. It is organic and non harmful to the plants, but as u know don't use any spray during the photo period, wait till lights out to spray.

do i have to dilute the neem oil with water?
it depends if you buy the diluted spray or if buy the pure oil. A professional mixture is .9-1.5 % neem tree oil and the rest is water/ inert ingredients. This is what you will find to be true of most varieties of neem spray(which is what I use).

hope that helps

I had root aphids and hygrozyme got rid of them. I was also using a high dose of gnat-off with molasses. One of them worked. Good luck.
