what kinda light is that? the soil is fine, probably should have started off in a smaller pot so you can control your watering better, but just be careful not to over water it.

weed is essentially a weed and does not need slow release nutrients it just needs normal soil and nutrients when needed.

I've had great luck with slow release nutrients, because it's water soluble as long as you don't over water your plants, you don't over feed them. I probably would have gone with the seed starting soil in a smaller pot then transplanted into the mg organic once it was a little bigger and could handle nutes.

also, it is no where need what is essentially a weed. It's just a nick name. While it does thrive with very little help, it's not a weed.

should i water the 1 in my closet? its been a day?
if it's the plan in the picture probably not, you won't need to water for a few days. it really depends on the type of soil, the lights, the temps, how big your plant is, how big your roots are. a good rule of thumb is to wait until the plant droops a little bit, then you know it needs water. pick up the pot and see how heavy it is when the plant starts to droop, now you know what it feels like when it needs water. then after you water until you get a little run off feel how heavy the pot is and you know what it feels like when it doesn't need water.

it is good to not water for abit.. because it will search the soil for water in turn increasing the root length.

Looks ok but as stated above, lower your light and get a better one, not sure what kind of light that is.

I agree with the part about the perlite. Disagree with the MG. Nothing wrong with it; it's cheap, it does the job, it has nutes in it and you can find it just about any place that sells soil. Whats so bad about that?

Mg is not the ideal soil to grab but it gets the job done...and the time released ferts are gone by the time the plant is flowering...the only problem with that particular mg soil is that when it dries up it gets too dry and takes a lot of water to re hydrate...lots of runoff..just don't let it get too dry.
