hey I just put one of my random seedlings i have out side, its about 3 weeks old and i was wondering since its rainin like a bitch as it always does in BC would this kill the little bugger or will the soil just absorb it. i know if you over water a plant indoors it could kill it.

if its raining hard and constantly you want to bring your baby inside. it can be killed by overwatering

one prob with that its actually in the ground i put a milk jug over it last night so the rain wouldn't wreck it. and it seems to be doing fine now ohh and its really sunny out now

i have one but its kinda hard to move something that in the ground already, i dont wanna move it cause it would cause way to much stress plus since the milkj jugh was over it, the rain couldent bounce on the poor little thing plus apartally it keeps enough heat in to help the plant.

I'm gonna say yes definitely, 2-4 days of a rain will ruin 50%-75% of seedlings... be safe, cover them up or move them in if you can... its not worth it...
its not so much the overwatering, its the friction of rain pounding down on fragile foliage, give them babies some protection till their a little stronger otherwise no worries
